Eurotaku remorse
Nice that they send it free shipped anyway but SePh1r0tH, didn't you offer and probably paid $ 150,- recently for the sound tracks ?

Now wanted ,................. super rare " Prime CD " for my now incomplete CAVE collection .

I smell bullshit from this Eurotaku joint. NCSX realized when I was on the phone with them that the soundtracks were indeed shipped separately, which is why I tried to let you know that importers would likely get their OSTs a little late.

You mean like YesAsia's old practice of stripping out pre-order bonuses to sell separately? The truth will be clear when we see whether all Eurotaku customers get these CDs or not and whether anybody who was able to order from Cave online got a Premium disc (although it seems nobody here had the chance).

Got that mail too, and I for one am very happy I the way this has turned out after all. Very happy to get the soundtracks as they're
one of my fave parts of these games. :P

I mailed them too and they explained the situation as above.
They also assured me they were doing their best to resolve the situation.
I trust them on this being a misunderstanding and appreciate their after-sales.

It's the result that matters here, and everyone can be happy now at
no extra cost. Imho that's a good ending. :D

Asada says that he knows about the problem of some people not getting soundtracks with their Cave Collections and he's trying to figure out what should be done. He's discussing it with Amazon and will announce something soon.

He also apologizes for the lack of updates on the final version of SDOJ and asks for folks to be patient.

I ended up not paying that much but you are correct...went from having 0 sound tracks to 2 now...oh well

Looks like this collection is sold out from retailers everywhere now, let the price gouging and reselling begin....

my question probably got burried in the heated discussion, so another try:

does the boxset include the patches released for some of the games (or Futari at least, don't know about the rest) ?

The official site doesn't say anything about patches.

But maybe somebody tried ? Does it still auto-download a patch if Futari is run from the disc from the boxset ?

I don't have the collection, but I recall somebody saying earlier that the DLC from the collection's disc works with each game's "original-release" copy, so something tells me that patches should work the same way.

I think he wants to know if the patches are on-disc

I wonder if the 360 can actually load patches from a disc? Or if it's download only due to XBox Live flagging the update when you start the game.

EDit After a quick google check there's a site with some CAVE patches, Guwange, DS1 US, DFK so it would appear that there is some way of getting them onto 360 without Live. (no DOJ 360 though, I would hope that patch is floating around the net for prosperity sake)

I'm pretty sure there have been re-releases of games which included patches originally available for the first print versions. Still wondering though...

This hasn't happened with any Cave releases though IIRC.

Hmmm, I wonder if this constitutes tampering though? I suspect it could be detectable via Xbox Live and could result in your account (or more likely) your console being banned from Live.

no, don't worry. We've been doing this for YEARS. A friend of mine has a 360 in his "gaming-cave" and there's no LAN or WLAN available, so I've been getting him his patches this way for years now. I'm collecting my relevant TUs as well and have applied them this way as well, despite being online. I just want to have them available and know I'm safe even when the TUs disappear from MS's servers.

I believe Microsoft makes similar available for system updates. So I doubt that there is any problem with it.

So, could this be done with the DLC disc?
(Have the DLC disc on file and then update the game from usb.)

has been done already, hasn't it ? If you create a 360-compatible USB stick with your profile on it, you can install the DLCs on somebody else's japanese 360 (region lock!), copy the DLCs to your usb stick and copy them to your own HDD at home.

Won't that only work if you're online on your own 360 though?

Yeah, unless they also migrated the account.
