All CAVE games released on 360 including DLC, 7 replay DVDs, 2 booklets.

No release date yet.

Re: CAVE Shooting Collection X360
Hm, this will either be the greatest bargain ever or the most expensive 360 game/collection ever released.

We can thank them never releasing it in the first place for that.alamone wrote: or Feveron.

Oh, it contains all DLC and a physical copy of Guwange? Dang, I guess that means I'll have to buy it.

The most expensive Xbox 360 game in existence?
Re: CAVE Shooting Collection X360
Would love to know if the "DLC contents" includes 1st print stuff like matsuri modes... We all know Cave likes to lie about exactly how limited edition things are.

Re: CAVE Shooting Collection X360
Now I'm curious if the DeathSmiles voice DLC is in this pack. o.o
Other than that, I already have every Cave release on 360 (while waiting for SDOJ). O:
Well, depending on what games will be in it, it's a decent price deal, compared with if you bought the 1st prints way back then (like some of us did).
Game List in order of images:
- DeathSmiles (Retail)
- Mushihime-sama Futari ver1.5 (Retail)
- ESPgaluda II Black Label (Retail)

- DoDonPachi DaiFukkatsu Black Label (including KetsuiPachi) (Retail)
- Muchi Muchi Pork & Pink Sweets (Retail)
- Akai Katana Shin (Retail)
- Mushihime-sama HD (Retail)

Multi disc, or all-in-one for the games..?

Re: CAVE Shooting Collection X360
Almost certainly multi disc, if only to make the price more palatable. I'd love a single-disc release, though... but even if it's in a slimmed-down package it might be worth selling my individual copies and picking up the package. If I'm estimating sale prices properly, everything could come out just about even.brentsg wrote:Multi disc, or all-in-one for the games..?
Re: CAVE Shooting Collection X360
Deathsmiles 1 and 2 alone take up over 3gb when installed, plus another gigabyte for Futari + BL, so it's very unlikely that they'd be able to squeeze all of those games + DLC into a single DVD. But I also doubt that each game will be on its own disk. They'll probably fit as much as they can into as few disks as possible.brentsg wrote:Multi disc, or all-in-one for the games..?

Re: CAVE Shooting Collection X360
Also Guwange is probably a XBLA redeem code or it's stored in some kind of storage media in the collection.

Re: CAVE Shooting Collection X360
Not necessarily. There have been retail disk releases of various XBLA games in the past.VixyNyan wrote:Also Guwange is probably a XBLA redeem code or it's stored in some kind of storage media in the collection.

Re: CAVE Shooting Collection X360
Holy Moses. So that's around $250, right? But considering a single superplay DVD can be around $100 and same for Pink Sweets, I think that's a pretty good price. I'd pick one up if even some of the releases are region-free like before. Maybe even just buy it anyway if I can get a JP console for cheap down the road.

According to this the 10 games will be spread across 7 discs.brentsg wrote:Multi disc, or all-in-one for the games..?
Re: CAVE Shooting Collection X360
Pretty sure Silicon Era is wrong there (wouldn't be the first time). It sounds like they got the game DVDs mixed up with the Super Play DVDs.BulletMagnet wrote:According to this the 10 games will be spread across 7 discs.
Edit: after reading the Amazon listing for myself, it sure sounds like they did get mixed up. The Amazon listing makes no mention of the total number of game DVDs. Another interesting tid-bit is that all the DLC content for all included games will be on a single DVD.
So basically: Unknown number of game disks + DLC install disk + 7 Super Play DVDs

Re: CAVE Shooting Collection X360
How do those work, anyway? Are they like the content discs for certain games where you have to install them to HDD/USB storage?Cuilan wrote:Not necessarily. Re: CAVE Shooting Collection X360
Also, since it's extremely unlikely that each game will have its own disk, and since some games have been licensed and some haven't, it's almost guaranteed that this collection will be region-locked.
I've never played one of those collections, but from what I remember reading, they should work exactly like any other retail disk game: played directly off the disk, entire disk can be installed, but disk must be in the drive in order to play the games.nZero wrote:How do those work, anyway? Dammit, Cave. I want it because I want to have Futari Black Label on-disc, but... screw buying all those games over again.

It's technically not on-disk. It's on a separate DLC install disk. It's not much different than keeping all of your Cave DLC on its own dedicated USB drive.Special World wrote:Dammit, Cave. I want it because I want to have Futari Black Label on-disc, but... screw buying all those games over again.
But that has got me thinking...how will they prevent people from "sharing" the DLC install disk? They could make it require some sort of unlock key.

Re: CAVE Shooting Collection X360
There are games that will let you install from without limitations. IIRC I was the third person to install the Elder Scrolls IV DLC from the GOTY edition I have.
For DLC, the safest way would be to tweak it so that it was just on the disc and not installed, like MBL & MBL 1.1 was for Deathsmiles NA. It wouldn't surprise me, considering the large amount of DLC available - installing each separately would be annoying.

Re: CAVE Shooting Collection X360
Yeah, you're right about Oblivion's Shivering Isles disk. However, I have a feeling that Cave isn't going to be so generous. They did lock away the 1.01 mode on every Futari 1.5 disk behind an unlock-key, after all.CStarFlare wrote:There are games that will let you install from without limitations. As for your second comment, the Amazon listing specifically states that all DLC is going to be on a separate "install disk", and they call it exactly that.

Re: CAVE Shooting Collection X360
I'm curious about that myself. While I have all the games already, I still wouldn't mind grabbing this. I hope they get a preliminary pic of the whole package up soon.Annoyboy wrote:Would love to know if the "DLC contents" includes 1st print stuff like matsuri modes... Re: CAVE Shooting Collection X360
It would greatly piss off both Aksys Games and Rising Star Games, and would ensure that Cave would never be able to find another licensee for their games ever again.ratikal wrote:Imagine the shit storm if it turns out it's region free.

If I had money to throw around I'd buy it just for the superplay DVDs and sell off all of the games. It'd probably be worth it.Muchi Muchi Spork wrote:People lining up to pay $300 for games they already bought.
