Im using Lagarith codec for capturing, if i play the file through windows media player it displays fine. I never had this problem with VLC player before i did a format and fresh install on my OS drive, any ideas?
this is all the info i got.....Ed Oscuro wrote:Did you pull down the Tools -> Media Information and Codec Information dialogs? This might give you a clue. Messages (Ctrl+M) might be helpful too.
Well i just this week did a OS format and fresh install, before this VLC player was playing my capture files fine, so im not sure why its not now?.dieKatze88 wrote:Most VLC people hate hearing this, but I have found that VLC works great under 90% of cases, and then fails spectacularly in the rest of them. I switched away from VLC when they were having problems supporting subtitles that came with X,Y coordinates.
That said, Have you tried loading your file in Media Player (Windows, or Classic, they both really use the same method of playback internally)?
Again, personal experience, ymmv, but I find that VLC is very dependent on things like the current phase of the moon. The videos playing in WMP mean that its something that VLC is doing. Has anyone button mashed at your install of VLC? I recall VLC having a plethora of keyboard shortcuts.lettuce wrote:Well i just this week did a OS format and fresh install, before this VLC player was playing my capture files fine, so im not sure why its not now?.dieKatze88 wrote:Most VLC people hate hearing this, but I have found that VLC works great under 90% of cases, and then fails spectacularly in the rest of them. Yeah the videos play fine in windows media player
Seems more likely a codec hasn't been installed yet, or all the updated drivers haven't been snagged yet.dieKatze88 wrote:Again, personal experience, ymmv, but I find that VLC is very dependent on things like the current phase of the moon. You plugging the xbox into the input and you're outputting to your television and capture card. Also, get a powered splitter at least...lettuce wrote:http://www.amazon.co.uk/Splitter-INPUT- ... 285&sr=8-2
Like that?
Surely i need 1 output to 2 output, thats listed as 1 input to 2 output??
Hang i need to be outputting from the 360 though not inputting???eightbitminiboss wrote:You plugging the xbox into the input and you're outputting to your television and capture card. Also, get a powered splitter at least...lettuce wrote:http://www.amazon.co.uk/Splitter-INPUT- ... 285&sr=8-2

You're getting the video signal from the 360, not putting into it.lettuce wrote:Hang i need to be outputting from the 360 though not inputting???eightbitminiboss wrote:You plugging the xbox into the input and you're outputting to your television and capture card. Most likely your PC is set to write numbers like this 3,14. Amarec needs the English version wiht a dot as the decimal symbol (3.14).yukbeezy wrote:I have got an issue trying setting up Amarectv.
Once i lanch amarectv, i always have error message with .ini files.
