You'd best double check. Amazon.co.jp is sold out, Rakuten dealers are sold out, and none of the shops I went to in Akihabara today had copies with the DLC cards - only standalone copies were available. :?

Jesus... That's a surprise!

Videogameimports.com in the UK still have stock with DLC. They will ship internationally.

I guess it's all where you look. I wandered into a random Sofmap in Shinjuku tonight and asked for a copy and it had the DLC card.

It sucks that no one brought Ketsui or DDP BL(and this one isn't totally necessary) over here. If only those, and Mushi(which I think has a decent chance) were brought over, I wouldn't have to worry about getting another expensive J-360, when this one breaks down.
I bought Ketsui DL when it first came out, so I didn't overpay for the game. I bought it mainly for the superplay DVD, I see the game itself as a bonus anyway.

God I hope mine comes with the dlc card. I ordered it on Thursday from play-asia but I didn't have a pre-order. I remember going to pre-order it on Tuesday but they basically said they were out of pre-orders somewhere later in the ordering process and not on the official game page.
Thursday came and it was easy as rain to order. I figured, "First print's gotta mean more than just those pre-orders!". Thanks rancor... I'm freaking out now.

Says here under "Box Contents" that a DLC card is included.

That's the limited edition.

@MrChiggins - if possible it might be worth cancelling and getting it from somwhere else. As it is, even if you can't cancel... it might be worth picking up another copy because this dlc is going fast.

Having played the port, as great as regular Mushi is (and the excellent arrange mode) you really want 1.5.

Yeah there's no way I can get a refund at this point. There is still a glimmer of hope because I'm fairly positive that there was no Box Contents section or anything like that for the regular edition back when it was a pre-order either. I checked.

Hang on Cagar!

I have this game, but don't play it often to notice anything wrong.

Would I be able to download this "patch" on a flash stick and upload it to my 360 or do I need to do this "live" :?:

I had the same fear years ago and I attest, it won't hurt you. Besides, it will open up a whole world of downloadable stuff.

I just won't sign up for it. I've absolutely hated the concepts of "DLC," "on demand," "propietary storage," and anything to do with "live" gaming from the very start (it was one of the main reasons I had not bought a 360 console until a few years ago). Therefore, I dismiss all of it and stick to console-only gaming 8)

I can see myself "downloading" a game when I am able to burn it onto a disc, put a cover on it, and print the manual.

I can't seem to figure out where I can input my DLC code, when I go to the DLC in game it's just stuff that costs points. Am I missing something really obvious? Probably.

EDIT: Ok I figured it out, I just had to go to Account Management, which is all the way to the right next to console settings and stuff. Then you just go to Redeem Code and put it in.

You need to push the xbox guide button, go into the leftmost menu (I think) and select redeem code. Works for anything you download with a code.

Wow. This is the worst instance of cutting your nose off to spite your face I've ever read. You're missing out on some of this gens best games by not using XBLA. You're not achieving anything by not using the service.

Not true. By not buying XBLA games he's getting more time to spend on his other games this forum.

Again, I don't give a damn about DLC or "live." I don't consider it a "service" since it doesn't serve what I want. As I wrote before, I only care for the ability to burn the game onto a disc and also use my own harddrive to save stuff. If I cannot have both, then I am not missing out on anything at all. There are more games out there to give a s*** about DLC and "live" 8)

Basically everyone who's played 1.5 seems to think it's awesome, so it'd be silly to miss out. I don't leave my XBox hooked up to the internet unless it's to check for game patches or to get DLC on the one Live account that's on it, can't be bothered. You should be able to get the DLC once then just leave the Xbox disconnected (although the required patches will turn your Dashboard into an ad-filled mess; very annoying, just have to learn to ignore it for the sake of games, it's worth it).

I have to agree. In the end, it's your own choice, but it seems extremely silly to miss out on something you can get for free simply because you're not a fan of the service. If it were something like Futari Black Label where you had to pay extra for it, I'd understand your position more, but for this, it's literally as simple as "sign up for account, redeem code", after which you can continue not doing anything on Live again.

Spent a little time with this, so it's Magnet-pression time!

- Despite some early screens and videos looking rather icky, the game does display nicely on a tated LCD, and not half bad on a tated CRT.

- 1.5, as others have said, is easily the highlight: new enemy formations, a bit of graphical remixing, the point-blanking mechanic and the "Max" modes do more than you'd think to spice things up. The music, almost impossibly, is even more cheesily synthy than the "regular" equivalent; it's like the original Mushi soundtrack multiplied by itself.

- Arrange mode wasn't anything great on the PS2 and still isn't too special here (what's with the wacko multiplier?), but the redone soundtrack and more limited autobomb do give it a bit of a boost (at least it's no longer as much of a "guaranteed trip to the TLB who kills you over and over and over" mode).

- No autobomb on Novice?!? What tomfoolery is this? :P

- Is there no way to turn off the continue counter, or have I just missed it?

- I still find the "Today's" score ranking to be a somewhat annoying holdover from the arcade version (even on bad runs I still have to waste time on the entry screen), I wish they'd taken it out or at least included an option to skip it.

- I'm not versed enough in Mushiology to comment much on the slowdown levels, though the thing does (again, as others have said) seem to have some sudden, jittery recovery in places, that speed up bullets at the drop of a hat.

- Got the SE, so can't comment on the LE extras.

On the whole I'm both satisfied with and somewhat disappointed in this one, mainly because of how much Cave talked up its being possibly the company's last physical shooter release and how they wanted to make it "something special". If you didn't snag a first-print copy you're basically just getting a retooled edition of the PS2 port (and that one had an art gallery too, for whatever it's worth); granted, everything that's here is fine, but this is hardly a be-all-end-all product (of course, we all hope that this ISN'T the end, but at this point who knows). I'd probably be more lenient if Cave put 1.5 on the disc and made, say, Mushihime-tama or even Bug Panic the first-print extra (seeing as an actual new Arranged mode was apparently out of the question); this, is, after all, the second time many of us are purchasing the core game. Granted, I know that Cave has been somewhat blindsided lately on the business end of things, but while I'm grateful that Mushi HD came out at all, that's about as far as the gratitude extends: the fact that it just plain exists.

Cool so it's a good port then (minus slowdown comparisons), hopefully the fact the new stuff is pre order DLC might tempt RSG to localise it

So that red sticker on the front of the case is what lets you know if it contains the dlc, right? If so, and if my copy doesn't have the dlc, I'm going to try to sell it sealed on these here forums for a low price and put the money towards a copy with the dlc.
Should be getting my play-asia copy in by Friday at the latest so hopefully there will still be first print confirmed sites still floating around then.

*crosses fingers*

God I feel like an idiot for not going to a site that absolutely confirms dlc or not...

At least I have a plan now.

It looks like score attack lets you submit scores after continuing. It's kind of hilarious that a bunch of higher ranking replays on the leaderboard are just some dude who credit feeds to the end and collects an end-of-game bonus.
