I'm with you. As far as I'm concerned... Taito is out. I can't remember the last non-Puzzle Bobble game they've put out that I've REALLY liked... and I pumped quarters in Rastan and Ninja Warriors as a kid. WTF happened?hm.. this port will do for now but i'll probably get the pcb when it drops if it is so, filtering is annoying once you put a name on it even if it's not as bad as no tate.

I don't know the resolutions, but I know ddp II, ddp-doj, and espgaluda have different resolutions than mushi/ibara. No matter how I adjusted my tv, I could not get the entire screen to display with mushi/ibara. On the other hand, ddp II, doj, espg all displayed perfectly on my tv.japtor wrote:anyone actually know the arcade resolution of mushi? iirc doj and galuda worked because the ps2 could display their resolution correctly (or something like that). if mushis is a bit different it couldve required them to use an upscaled/filtered high res mode (or downsample the image to match ps2s supported low res).
oh hey, is this the thread where we post screencaps?

lol, of course i want to try Ultra mode you silly!

The same what did happen to Capcom, Konami, Tecmo...? The 3D era?GaijinPunch wrote: I'm with you. As far as I'm concerned... Taito is out. Taito is just major publisher these days, anyhow. They, most likely, hired a little company to develope PS2 Mushi. But just my speculation.

I was never gaga for those companies though. While Konami has focused WAY too much energy DDR and other shit music games, they have at least shown they can put quality into their work (or make their outsources make quality ports). I can say the same w/ Capcom spending too much time on Street Fighter 18. Biohazard and Metal Gear Solid are the furthest from "my thing" as you can get, but from what I've seen of them, they're polished quite nicely. Both companies have put out some great stuff on the GBA.The same what did happen to Capcom, Konami, Tecmo...? The 3D era?
Tecmo, is a wild card. Graphically, their stuff on Xbox is mind-blowing. Ninja Gaiden is even fun... DOA is unfortunately a waste of resources.
Taito's main clame to fame these days is Densha de Go for the love of God.

One day, but ESPGaluda is barely under that.will the pcb ever hit under $500???

I'd go as far to say that Ninja Gaiden on Xbox is one of the best action games ever made... but that's just me.GaijinPunch wrote: Tecmo, is a wild card. Graphically, their stuff on Xbox is mind-blowing. Ninja Gaiden is even fun... DOA is unfortunately a waste of resources.
Feedback will set you free.

Cropped and zoomed in. Loops nicely, though it didn't deinterlace very well.. been having trouble with that for the last day or so...hrml. rouge codec problem or something or other. Oh well
Hopefully this is good enough for what you need
edit - and yes, her hair cuts off like that normally + so does the text. Silly little bug

If it weren't for them, this might not have gotten ported at all. Same deal with Dragon Blaze.GaijinPunch wrote:I'm with you. As far as I'm concerned... Taito is out. With the lack of loads of games I've been buying lately (only 4 new games the whole summer --- and 2 of which I'm only luke warm about) I don't mind plunking down several hundred for a full kit the way it's supposed to be. I'm an asshole when it comes to this... I very much like things in their original state.

the pgm based games are 448x224, or some pretty funky non 4:3 res like that. the older cave games were 320x240. not that that info helps, but the more you know™.zlk wrote:I don't know the resolutions, but I know ddp II, ddp-doj, and espgaluda have different resolutions than mushi/ibara. galuda went under $400 pretty quick, it was a few months ago. the lowest i saw on excellent's list was $398 or 368. sort of regret not getting it then (full kit!). prices will hopefully cool down again soon. im hoping the ps2 port will help the push the cost down as well. One day, but ESPGaluda is barely under that.will the pcb ever hit under $500???

Relatively speaking, it took a while. Even with a near-perfect port was released, it was over 50,000 yen (even 60,000 and 70,000) for months after the PS2 release. Most JPN game shops are still asking 45,000 for it. Mushi for under $500? My guess is Spring.galuda went under $400 pretty quick, it was a few months ago. the lowest i saw on excellent's list was $398 or 368. sort of regret not getting it then (full kit!). prices will hopefully cool down again soon. im hoping the ps2 port will help the push the cost down as well.

Was there such a thing? I love 'em, but I'm pretty sure neither DP, DDP nor DOJ had those.RuffNEC wrote:Does the game have a total played time clock like this was in the DDP games ?? It would be practical to see how much time I'm spending in this game
