Looks killer. Big multipliers (pig heads??) and firepower in this one, definitely has an Ikeda vibe. He's also the one in the AOU page interview, which leads me to believe he's one of the programmers. EDIT: It says on the AOU page he's the main programmer.

Pink Sweets has blue and green bullets all over the place (and lots of other colors), and it looks quite nice.

i just have problems concentrating on multiple colors at once for some reason. It may look pretty but i tend to just look at one color while the other one smacks me. Doesnt affect me in ikuruga though so mabey its just certain games.

Mars Matrix taught me pretty quick to track multiple bullet colors at the same time. Dodonpachi is reinforcing it ^_^ Ikaruga doesn't do it well at all, since you basically have two different mindsets (or at least I did), and in the "white" mindset you get to totally ignore all white bullets and not care.

Okay, here's my translation of the Ikeda interview on the AOU page:

-So what is this game like?
IKEDA: Large clamorous mechs versus chubby characters. It might be a way of expressing the current shooting market, so to speak, in other words you've gotta quickly throw the deciding pitch of a game! Is it? Please figure it out secretly.

-What is "muchi-muchi" for you?
IKEDA: Muchi-muchi is fat, fat is lard, in other words the LARD ATTACK is the best! Is it? Thank you. By all means, please try it out once.

-So, what kind of meat do you like?
IKEDA: Of course poultry. I hate the bird flu. Perhaps you're not catching my drift?

--------------------------------
Very bizarre interview, with Ikeda asking and answering his own questions.

I can't wait to try out the LARD ATTACK.

***I italicized one part because I'm not totally sure if my translation is correct or not there.

As someone else said, it looks like a comical DDP so far. And pig head items/multipliers brings back pleasant Batsugun memories. I am definitely interested in playing it now (which will be "someday" thanks to Squeenix killing Taito :( ). I also like the staff joking on the bird flu/tainted livestock. :P

Sven666: that's been mentioned more than once and I remember seeing that as far back as Sept 2006 iirc. It's probably for some crap online game they want to develop. Those guys pictured aren't in the Arcade division.

Oh Yagawa Where Art Thou?

I think Ikeda may be overworking himself. He should imitate the guys at Sonic Team (who went for snowboarding holidays in Canada after finishing their latest masterpiece), and take some time off to relax now and then.

Billy Hatcher.

Judging by the screenshots I'd say it's definitely a Yagawa project.

I was being sarcastic.

Also, Billy Hatcher was far from a masterpiece.

That's offensive. =P

I'm interested to see how this game is, and how it plays. I can overlook everything else as long as it's a fun game to play.

Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

Wrong, the last boss is Jenny Craig riding a slim fast Rocket. Then if you clear the secound loop on your first credit you fight Richard Simons at the end.
