You CANNOT take the EPROM from a Black Label and insert it into a normal DDP3 and get a Black Label.
If you do that you will get the message "ROM ERROR !"

Trying to reset the PCB while toggling the switch to the right of the JAMMA connector does nothing. Holding test/reset while power on does nothing.
Now could someone please tell me what the differences between a normal and a black label are ?
Update_1:
The Black Label uses a suicide battery for protection. Most likely a
certain id is stored in battery backed SRAM memory. When the
Black Label boots it checks for this id, if it is not there you get a
ROM ERROR like in the picture above.
If you get a ROM ERROR the only ones who can repair it are CAVE/AMI.
If you don't get a ROM error, now would be a good time to replace the
battery. However due to the battery type the replacement has to be
done while the board is powered:

The battery is a Varta 3/V80H and can be bought from Mouser.com

Update_2:
A method of resurrecting dead Black Label PCB's has been devised. Read about it here:

I do NOT offer a service to convert regular Dai-Ou-Jou boards into the Black Label version.
