Most inhuman True Final Boss criteria?
Most inhuman True Final Boss criteria?
Which TLB conditions do you consider the most insane in all of shmups? I'd probably have to go with every single CAVE game ever made, Border Down, and Raiden Fighters Jet. Typically TLB criteria tends to be the bane of all shmups.

Re: Most inhuman True Final Boss criteria?
This only requires a 1CC to trigger. It's tough as there's no extends (if you're playing well) but it's not that bad compared to Dangun Feveron and Mushihimesama Futari BL God Mode (both require a no miss of the game).copy-paster wrote:Giga Wing TLB.
Ketsui or Daifukkatsu probably qualify - entering the secret loop on Ketsui takes a no miss and has a minimum point requirement.
Re: Most inhuman True Final Boss criteria?
expert inbachi
Re: Most inhuman True Final Boss criteria?
Reaching Inbachi is probably the most insane in all of CAVE. How about reaching the true final boss of Strania, though?

XIIstag and X-Multiply have the best in-human bosses.

Play for fun and win when you can.
Re: Most inhuman True Final Boss criteria?
I'm not talking about games that have the hardest bosses. I meant games with the hardest TLB criteria.
Re: Most inhuman True Final Boss criteria?
Expert Inbachi meets both of those criteria.xxx1993 wrote:I'm not talking about games that have the hardest bosses. I meant games with the hardest TLB criteria.

Re: Most inhuman True Final Boss criteria?
What are the Inbachi requirements? Isn't it something ridiculous like all bees collected, rank maxed out, no miss no bomb, etc?
Re: Most inhuman True Final Boss criteria?
Yeah that's pretty much how it is - no miss no bomb, all bees, high rank. I don't think the rank has to be quite maxed out, but it does need to be pretty high. On the bright side, it's incredibly unlikely that you'll accidentally trigger Inbachi and lose your game that way.
I actually can't think of many games with special TLB requirements (i.e. more complex than 1CC'ing the game) besides CAVE games.

Re: Most inhuman True Final Boss criteria?
Off topic (sorry sorry
): was Inbachi ever defeated without cheats? i mean 100% confirmed 'no cheats'.

Re: Most inhuman True Final Boss criteria?
No, that one run on YouTube is the closest thing we have. I don't think many people have even reached Inbachi.
Re: Most inhuman True Final Boss criteria?
Feel like you can't fight Inbachi unless you play the game's Xbox 360 Mode.
Re: Most inhuman True Final Boss criteria?
Bloody Jitterbug in DS MBL is also a serious pain in the ass to trigger.

What's the criteria for Pigeon Blood Jitterbug in DeathSmiles IIX anyway?Kiken wrote:Bloody Jitterbug in DS MBL is also a serious pain in the ass to trigger.
Re: Most inhuman True Final Boss criteria?
IIRC, play every level at max rank and kill every boss while in hyper mode.xxx1993 wrote:What's the criteria for Pigeon Blood Jitterbug in DeathSmiles IIX anyway?

I did some digging and found that that particular player uploaded at least two Inbachi videos on his nicovideo account.Shepardus wrote:No, that one run on YouTube is the closest thing we have. I don't think many people have even reached Inbachi.

This video shows him no missing Inbachi's first form in training mode.

This video shows him beating Inbachi with Saya and it seems to have been uploaded before his run on youtube. I used shitty google translate on this video's description to get
"Your own aircraft is too strong to defeat even if you do it properly". If anyone knows Japanese, could we get a more accurate translation? Does this mean he did not "do it properly"?
Re: Most inhuman True Final Boss criteria?
The only correct answers are TLBs that are as easy as possible to trigger, so that they are always there to end your run.

From what I've seen/read, Inbachi seems like the textbook example of "diminishing returns." You can only make a boss's requirements so anal, and the boss itself so hard, before the curve of enjoyment starts swinging back down.
Not that a scrub like me ever has to worry about getting to that point.

Ha ha, not a bad point. To that, I submit Gun Frontier's "die and it's instant game over" final boss, regardless of your lives in stock! Better not miss either, you have six chances to hit.wizkid wrote:CCWI, becouse there is no criteria, it's there no matter what, to fuck my shit up.

Agree. Always go out of my way to avoid Shin Seseri. If I forget to suicide I might as well start over.Despatche wrote:The only correct answers are TLBs that are as easy as possible to trigger, so that they are always there to end your run.
Show me everything you have, puppet of Geppetto.
Re: Most inhuman True Final Boss criteria?
I just played Strania lately. The final boss is just like in Gun Frontier. Die there and you automatically lose. You have to defeat Yosemite using hit-and-run attacks.EmperorIng wrote:Ha ha, not a bad point. Re: Most inhuman True Final Boss criteria?
Except that the topic is referring to Inhuman TFB/TLB criteria, since Strania doesn't count, since you have to play on Hard/Expert to play the final stage, lol. (Though probably playing on Expert difficulty would be an inhuman feat, lol.)xxx1993 wrote:I just played Strania lately. The final boss is just like in Gun Frontier. But anyways, since I play much Strania in my freetime, yeah, you, only get one shot in the final stages, lose it and its back to the beginning. In the blue side in a chance of crossed swords, and in the red side for a duel of bullet dancing.

Wait, how do you do Hyper Mode in DeathSmiles IIX anyway?

Re: Most inhuman True Final Boss criteria?
Should be X button by default, but IIRC, I thought triggering PBJ (lol), was done by using the lock-on shot (by defeating all bosses with it), which ironically is mapped to the same button, lol.xxx1993 wrote:Wait, how do you do Hyper Mode in DeathSmiles IIX anyway?
