ChoRenSha 68k
Re: ChoRenSha 68k
I'm so looking forward to getting my Sharp X68k for this. <3
Re: ChoRenSha 68k
Your best bet is probably to contact the YouTube uploader since it looks like that's also the person creating the port (though I wouldn't call it that, it looks more like a complete remake than a 1:1 port).Koa Zo wrote:If anyone knows how to get this on a SCV cart, please let me know!![]()

Re: ChoRenSha 68k
This looks pretty interesting, but as Shepardus mentioned above, the game in its current state is either an early build or going to be much different from the original CRS68K.Koa Zo wrote:If anyone knows how to get this on a SCV cart, please let me know!![]()

Re: ChoRenSha 68k
It's been out for 2 1/2 years, but there's a remastered version of the original soundtrack available on Loser Kashiwagi's Bandcamp: https://loserkashiwagi.bandcamp.com/alb ... al-edition
Re: ChoRenSha 68k
They should get the Complete Edition up for digital sale too, it has some nice remixes in it.
Of course, that's just an opinion.

An update was released May 23, 2017! It seems to fix the sound issues with newer versions of Windows (you no longer have to set compatibility mode in Windows 7 so the music doesn't stutter):

About 8 years to fix a single sound problem, it must be some some kind of record.BareKnuckleRoo wrote:An update was released May 23, 2017! It seems to fix the sound issues with newer versions of Windows (you no longer have to set compatibility mode in Windows 7 so the music doesn't stutter):

Re: ChoRenSha 68k
The new version also seems to play nicely with my 144Hz monitor. Before I had to set it to 60Hz or else the game would be moving ridiculously fast.

Re: ChoRenSha 68k
It doesn't handle resolution scaling on Windows 10. It always forces rendering full-screen at the native monitor resolution.
Is there no way to run this in a window?

You can get it to run in a window with dgVoodoo2.
Re: ChoRenSha 68k

Re: ChoRenSha 68k
oof, look at that delicious floppy. So impractical, yet so satisfying to still slap those into a big external drive. Nice find.
If I were to venture a guess based on the size of the floppy, the "comiket "NOW PRINTING!" version 0.35" information, and the 680*0 in the corner of the disc, I think it's the X68K version.Squire Grooktook wrote:Wow, awesome! Is that the x68 version, or windows?
Re: ChoRenSha 68k
The Windows version came years after the X68k version and I don't think it was ever released in physical form, so yes that's the X68k version.

Re: ChoRenSha 68k
ChoRenSha68K was released multiple times.
There are at least 3 different floppy covers.
And in later years it was released on printed CD-Rs.
The black CD was from Comiket 54, the silver one came out later.
The CDs are cool as they contain lots of extras as you can see.
All what's neat to note is the official requirements for the game is 15mhz.
So those of you who 1cc it with all the slow-down at 10mhz are officially posers ;P.

Re: ChoRenSha 68k
10 & 16 Mhz make a huge difference but i think it plays a bit better @16.
(15? sounds strange there is afaik no system with this clock rate)
Less slow downs and the overall performance is much more stable.
Are these CDs dumped somewhere?
