Yeah even the developers said this on the certain interview, but is it possible to dodge it "legitimately" ?SMC wrote:The best part is they wanted you to actually dodge the cubes instead of building a little cube fort.

Pretty much the only consistently repeatable way to beat the boss is to manipulate it's attack patterns using suicides and bombing. The Armchair General wrote:Why would you suicide on the Mushihimesama TLB?Jaimers wrote:When you're trying to suicide on the Mushihimesama TLB final and miraculously avoiding every single bullet.
Looks hard, but with a few tries I could probably navigate that.Kollision wrote:Ooops, Gradius III?

You actually only need 2 speedups to do it. But yeah, the hitboxes of the ship and stage are not intuitive at all (common theme with this game), and it's very easy to collide in there even if it looks "easy".Chaos Phoenixma wrote:It's a fast scrolling section, the escape sequence after beating the final boss. Fast enough that you'd need 3 speedups to make it through there.
That's like the hardest part of the escape too, and once you're past it, you should be in the clear since you're unlikely to collide into anything else.
Oh God, this. Unfortunately, this miraculous dodging only works when you actually want to get hit.Jaimers wrote:When you're trying to suicide on the Mushihimesama TLB final and miraculously avoiding every single bullet.
In Bakraid I swear it's harder to run into the bullets than it is to avoid them.SMC wrote:Oh God, this. I still can't get past the Moai in Level 5 using Mode B. Just getting to Level 10 in that game requires Messi-like skill. (Wait, he's Argentine, so I'll use Neymar instead).Kollision wrote:Ooops, Gradius III?

Going by Gradius Generation's intro, at least one Mobile21 staffer would probably confirm this interpretation of the series' genealogy. ^_~Pixel_Outlaw wrote:I wonder if it was inspired by Scramble.

Konami developed Scramble, so the inspiration is, most likely, intentional.Pixel_Outlaw wrote:I wonder if it was inspired by Scramble.atheistgod1999 wrote:Looks hard, but with a few tries I could probably navigate that.Kollision wrote:Ooops, Gradius III?

Everyone who has not should go play Scramble and ahem *wait for the drop* at the end of the game.
Doesn't look too bad until you realize there is an invisible barrier and you only get the left half of the screen to move in.
