There was a lot of hype about this one, but I never hear anything about it anymore. How is it? I was thinking about getting it for PS2, how's the port? Anything special about the PS2 version? What's the verdict?
thanks
What's the deal with Raiden 3?

Yup, really wanted to like this one, but it barely has a pulse. There is no reason to play this when DX is floating around...

I like it a lot - I was bored with the old Raidens, having played them for so many years.

The only real selling point for this game would be Double Mode. It's so nuts.
Aside from that, the game is good. Nice old-schoolish soundtrack, pretty good visuals and level design, nice little multiplier system at work. Not mind-blowing, but good. Definitely challenging in typical Raiden fashion, though.
