DDP DaiOuJou: Exy laser speed loss

Is there actually any speed loss from firing the laser using Exy? I've read conflicting things, and I can't really tell just by looking.

It's definitely noticeable with A-Exy, not as much with B-Exy.

NTSC-J: You know STGs are in trouble when you have threads on how to introduce them to a wider audience and get more people playing followed by threads on how to get its hardcore fan base to play them, too.

Thanks! Good to know. You must have much better eyesight than me; I almost always use A-E and I couldn't tell at all.
