I myself have a soft spot for them, but I will have to say that my personal favorite shooter system is Saturn. After I move into my new place though I'll be eyeing the Pc engine. I know its off topic , but do you shmup on Pc Engine? Another great system for the genre. Anyhow , how are liking Musha? My personal "big game" from that era is Space Megaforce/Super Aleste. Might just get the Jap version. I rambled enough, good job on the video.
Thanks! I appreciate it! And you know, yes, I love my 16-bit shooters. But let me explain why...
I started this little project 2 years ago, with the intention of ONLY releasing videos with footage from the original hardware, in the highest possible quality. So that severely limited what I could cover. Right now I have a model 1 Genesis with RGB and a modded SNES Mini with RGB. I got a Framemeister this past year so I could get even better footage. I also just got my NES modded for RGB and got that back a few days ago. So I'll now be able to cover NES games. But you see my problem right? According to my self imposed rules, I can only cover games on the actual hardware I own, through RGB.
Believe me, I would LOVE to cover PC Engine games, but they are SO expensive! Granted, I'm pretty sure I'm going to get one and make an exception for a Flash Cart. Because collecting for that system is insane. I would also like to get a Saturn but again, the games are so hideously expensive. I mean, have you seen what Radiant Silvergun goes for these days? Ugh... I know there are ways with the Saturn to play burned discs so I'd imagine if I got one I would have to go that route.
Anyway, that's my predicament. So for the time being, it's going to be mostly 16-bit games. Although I do have a NES now so I want to start covering some of the 8-bit gems too. Speaking of which... I picked up Abadox today
*Edit* I am loving MUSHA. I haven't put as much time into it as I'd like, but I will be covering it at some point in the future for sure.
