Just so you know, digital Recca is available on the NA eshop, even though the 3DS port censors the special effects (flashing lightsSome-Mist wrote:might buy a japanese 3DS since I don't own a 3DS and just helped kickstart an rpg "omori" for the platform lol. really been wanting to get my hands on the digital version of recca too.
this might actually get me to bite since I do enjoy milestone (I guess klon now) games.
Why would they censor the lights? For the population that has seizures I'm guessing?Nana wrote:Just so you know, digital Recca is available on the NA eshop, even though the 3DS port censors the special effects (flashing lightsSome-Mist wrote:might buy a japanese 3DS since I don't own a 3DS and just helped kickstart an rpg "omori" for the platform lol. really been wanting to get my hands on the digital version of recca too.

Either way, this is pretty cool news -- even if I won't be able to play it unless it gets a US release.
Are you sure? I thought I remembered flashing lights in stage 2 (maybe when bombing?) although it could have been when I was playing it in fceux that I'm remembering.Nana wrote:Just so you know, digital Recca is available on the NA eshop, even though the 3DS port censors the special effects (flashing lightsSome-Mist wrote:might buy a japanese 3DS since I don't own a 3DS and just helped kickstart an rpg "omori" for the platform lol. really been wanting to get my hands on the digital version of recca too.

1) Create Scoring System
2) Make it a multiplier for your actual score
Please stop parroting this stupid rumor, that had nothing at all to do with some imaginary policy on flashing enemies. The porters were just plain incompetent. You can even find some hit flash still in certain places in the games.Nana wrote:Also note that the boss flashing sprites were nixed from only the Wii version of the metal slug anthology (and the SNK collection), which were still present in all other iterations of the port.
Ah, sorry. Having played the collections, in particular referring to shock troopers on the snk collection and the metal slug collection, I just figured that must have been the reason since it was only absent on the wii versions of the games.MathU wrote: Please stop parroting this stupid rumor, that had nothing at all to do with some imaginary policy on flashing enemies. In fact if you want further proof I'm sure the hit flash is just fine in the far better Virtual Console versions of the games.
That's what I thought when I saw this thread. Good taste my man.shmuppyLove wrote:FUK YEAH DILLINJA
