Was expecting winged men in skintight trousers - a slight disappointment.

The overall gameplay feels quite slow. Enemies take a lot of hits before dying, the first boss being the biggest culprit. Overly simple pattern and way too much health renders the fight boring quickly. Quite a contrast considering how most of the bosses from TF series often go down in matter of seconds. And yet I still managed to die thanks to wonky player hitbox and UI that blocked the view on my ship (this wouldn't be that much of problem if boss' weakspot wasn't the head that just so happens to be at the same height as the weapon icons).

Not much to comment about the visuals. Obviously there are lots of borrowed graphics from different games that don't always match that well. The balance between sound effects and music seems way off, since I can hardly hear music behind all those loud sound effects - the thunder during first boss battle was especially jarring.

These are my impressions after the first stage. Maybe things get more fastpaced and aggressive in later stages but honestly I don't feel like playing this much further. Hopefully you'll keep some of these things in mind with the sequel.

Thanks for advice, I'll keep this ... is obviously just a amateur game.

This was my first game and it was an experiment, the first level has been done 2 years ago when I was inexperienced ... and indeed there are some problems.

First of all, in Legendary Wings 2, the menu of the game becomes more transparent if you approach it with the spacecraft and the power of the enemies (bosses in particular) has been optimized.

I really hope you learn from this and avoid some of the stuff you've done/haven't done in this for your sequel, for instance:
- lack of controller support
- collision issues
- usage of GM default particles (they suck, they're bad for performance)
- 30 FPS
- too much health on the enemies / no power in any of your weapons
- bad keyboard control scheme

If you need a betatester for your next one, or programming help with GM, or if you'd like me to elaborate on these issues more let me know. Do not fear, for the blunt sword sharpened with fire makes for a good sword indeed! :)

Agreeing with BPzeBanshee . And....the "hunter".....does not hunt for the enemies ^^; I may be a spoiled person, but i haven't found the enjoyment to play this game.

Aside from the minus points, It's a good work, and I can also learn from here if in the future I want to make similar type of side scroll shooting.
i won`t die for anything or anyone
nothing can stop me from enjoying my life

Needs more Wings and babes: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/e ... _flyer.png
:)

Fun game, the graphics are the high point, imho.
Gameplay is good, but as it was already pointed out, needs some polish.
