People often make it out to be crap (cuz it's so different from Spriggan on PCE maybe?), but on the other hand I've also heard from a few sources that it's a great technical achievement on SFC not to be missed.
So who should I believe? Is it a worthwhile game? Please make your claims, and back them up!
As a game it's boring as shit. Technically, it is purty and all that. Supposedly not even Compile developed. Definitely not worth of the Spriggan name. Pass.
Thoroughly average game with some pretty decent graphics. Most interesting is its buzz bonuses. There are much better side-scrollers on the system, like Macross.
Gameplay: unbelievably inane most of the time and cheap at some other time, except the cave stage and the final stage, which are both good quality.
Music: inane
Graphics: quite good, I thought I knew what a SNES can do until I play this. But then Rendering Ranger makes every other SNES games look amateur, so...
Gimmick: the buzz bonus is not worth your time since the hit box is huge and the bonus is minimal. The tickle attack (charge attack of the vulcan) is very fun to use however. It's one redeeming quality for this game.
