TATE taking over the world

Post by D »

Today at MCDonalds in Amstelveen (city) in the Netherlands they have a huge Samsung LCD TATE-ed on the wall. They must visit turn.to/vertical often

So from now on for all TATE related question I direct you to Ronald McDonald Tating all around the world.

Other TATE examples in everyday life?

Don't ask me what I was doing there, because I was just getting a big choc shake OK

What was the TV at McDonald's displaying? I'm just curious as to why they would have it set up that way...

I'd like to think that there's a bunch of shmup fans out there who abuse their jobs by taking advantage of certain pieces of technology at the workplace. I'm still looking into setting up one of the projectors here at work in tate mode, and trying out some DDP.

Either that, or trying to tate the huge plasma monitor we've got...

Hey, happy meals rock. I ripped the LEDs out of a Transformers toy I got and put them in my crystal XBOX pads.

All the TVs were TATEd in Total Recall. Coincidence?

Not all, TATE is the future! wide screen will pass.

TATE sucks for anything that isn't a vertical shooter.

Heh well, I talked my boss into purchasing one of those 21" tateable dell monitors after our 17" apple studio display went blooey. Good move on my part!

dont all the dell monitors rotate the wrong way?

just saw mr and mrs smith today, some tated displays there, proper direction iirc. multimonitor setups too, side by side, not stacked vertically though.

and the meteos manual is tated. wrong way, but understandable given the format.

i think this is my first post in off topic. and now away i go again.

Haha, that is great. I don't think you can play xbox when you're in the bathroom throwing up from the sewage which is mc donalds, though. Xbox consoles are waterproof, right?

I've been to Valley Fair (a mall in Santa Clara, CA) and they have some some vertical HDTV sets on the walls showing advertisements, particularly in the food court area.
