heh, theres a huge TATEd plasma screen used on the Richard and Judy show here in the UK and at Alton Towers (big ass theme park) the photo collection places have walls of TATEd tvs.
What was the TV at McDonald's displaying? I'm just curious as to why they would have it set up that way...
I'd like to think that there's a bunch of shmup fans out there who abuse their jobs by taking advantage of certain pieces of technology at the workplace. I'm still looking into setting up one of the projectors here at work in tate mode, and trying out some DDP.
Either that, or trying to tate the huge plasma monitor we've got...

Heh well, I talked my boss into purchasing one of those 21" tateable dell monitors after our 17" apple studio display went blooey. Good move on my part!
Don't ask me what I was doing there, because I was just getting a big choc shake OK Embarassed
Any flavor but vanilla! (Bonus points to anyone who gets that)
just saw mr and mrs smith today, some tated displays there, proper direction iirc. multimonitor setups too, side by side, not stacked vertically though.
and the meteos manual is tated. wrong way, but understandable given the format.

Haha, that is great. I don't think you can play xbox when you're in the bathroom throwing up from the sewage which is mc donalds, though. Xbox consoles are waterproof, right?
I've been to Valley Fair (a mall in Santa Clara, CA) and they have some some vertical HDTV sets on the walls showing advertisements, particularly in the food court area.
