I enjoy watching fanaticism. I am not sure what this is, but it makes me laugh.

And the music is migraine-inducing, droning bullshit.

Yeah, fuck all that. Xevious is great. I've probably played the NES version about as much as I've played any other shooter.

I like how low simplistic and empty the world is, I like how your rank increases by missing ground targets, and I like the all the enemy types, particularly the black balls that explode into clusters of homing bullets.

Xevious has R-Type-type status with me-- one of the towering giants of the genre. But some people are only into shmups for the heart-pounding thrills, and to them, I can see, these classics must seem completely pointless. That's fine. Shmups is a rich genre with something for nearly everyone.

Well, you're entirely entitled to that opinion.

I loved it too "back in the days" but after recently playing it again, I thought it was just... boring. (too slow a pace and nothing much happening to keep your attention).

I still like the game's music though.

Nothing wrong with Xevious, I enjoyed it back then, I enjoy it now, very leisurely paced till those black balls start bursting into multiple bullets. The the intensity picks up. :D

Video's pretty entertaining as well, very nice t-shirt.
