scored one of these this morning along with a stand for it, it's an old high-end 25" Sony TV with two detachable speakers. I haven't hooked it up yet because it is a beast and still sitting in the back of my car.. but I am eager to try it out.
Does anyone have one of these TV's for their shmup setup?
It has a 34-pin connector on the back which I'm assuming has RGB capabilities (it says rgb multi), and it looks like a floppy drive connector would fit perfectly onto the pins...!
I'll update this with more info once I manage to get it up the stairs without hurting myself.

I have a similar monitor. A floppy drive connector will indeed fit the multi-rgb port, but unfortunately Sony used this port in different configurations on various monitors, so you may have to fiddle for a while to find the right pinout. I particularly like the way these units look, with their flat glass covers, and the picture quality is good even in composite.

We here shall not rest until we have made a drawing-room of your shaft, and if you do not all finally go down to your doom in patent-leather shoes, then you shall not go at all.
well I got the monitor inside, but I'm having trouble getting my jamma boards to display on it, I have the pinout for this one, but no luck yet.. not sure if I need to have the Mode select connected to something or the RGB/Normal connected to +5

Got it working, just had some wires in the wrong spots
