Does anyone find chaining fun?

Re: Does anyone find chaining fun?
As someone who cares very little about score, I'm certainly not that big on chaining either. My only concern for score is in regards to extends. Once I've got enough, I cease to care. For me, it's all about survival and getting that 1cc.

So describing the system means I am whining about it?Paradigm wrote:CAVE and their 'you won't score well if you make scoring mistakes' shenanigans, eh?

Chaining is fun... when you get it right. Gawd, the restartitis today.

Reads like whining to me, yes.Taylor wrote:Though most of your points in Progear are from your accumulative game-long counter, meaning every scoring opportunity you miss has a massive long term effect.
Cave.
Re: Does anyone find chaining fun?
Chaining is very rewarding, but once I sort out the first two stages or so I start to dread approaching new ones. I dunno if I'm just bad at it or miss simple things, but even when I know exactly what to do I have trouble hooking all the chunks of a stage (even the easy ones) together.
On the topic of DOJ, I'm finding it to be one of the most enjoyable games to play for survival.

Re: Does anyone find chaining fun?
No, that is an accurate description of Progear and Cave’s approach to score systems. I clearly like Progear or Chain wouldn’t be in my avatar. If you’re going to reply to me then maybe address the part where I argued you were wrong?Paradigm wrote:Reads like whining to me, yes.Taylor wrote:Though most of your points in Progear are from your accumulative game-long counter, meaning every scoring opportunity you miss has a massive long term effect.
Cave.
Re: Does anyone find chaining fun?
I think the "Cave." at the end makes it read somewhat like whining.
