Not necessarily. He said he was thinking of an action platformer but they weren't decided/had nothing solid yet.KAI wrote:100% not a shmup.

I really hope they don't lock anything to Steam DRM.
Of course, that's just an opinion.

The interview implied it was for PC and the Ikaruga steam port is basically practice.

I really hope that they do. I don't even buy PC games anymore outside of steam.MathU wrote:I really hope they don't lock anything to Steam DRM.
I don't care what the game is going to be as long as it's scoring heavy, because i'm scoreperger

Re: treasure possibly making new games
Some games on DRM don't have Steam. It's mostly just the little guys who can kinda slip through. Almost everything published by Nyu Media on the platform can be run without Steam installed or asking permission (only exception so far is Fairy Bloom Freesia).
Kinda doubt someone like Treasure would get through without it though.

Sin and punishment 2 is pretty much a scoring-heavy shmup where you happen to shoot background enemies most of the time. The dodge move is sorta spammable though. Wouldn't mind something like that on PC since it works well with keyboard + mouse..Squire Grooktook wrote:Not necessarily. Wow, is this a troll post or do you have genuine Stockholm Syndrome? You really hope people who value their consumer rights get screwed over, for no particular reason?Cagar wrote:I really hope that they do. a spiritual successor to alien soldier or guardian heroes would be amazing.
edit: on second thought (even though I don't own one) sin & punishment 3 w/ oculus rift support would be pretty sweet.

Both companies did, though Treasure was the "main" developer IIRC, G-Rev helped out with a handful of elements.eatdogs wrote:I also heard something last year about Gradius 5 coming to psn... treasure worked on that right? Or was that g-rev?
Re: treasure possibly making new games
Some game I can never own, because it is on Steam.
Re: treasure possibly making new games
Whatever it is, I will most likely treasure it forever, like most of their games.
Re: treasure possibly making new games
I can sympathize, but Steam is getting more difficult to ignore. https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q ... 6707277295MathU wrote:Wow, is this a troll post or do you have genuine Stockholm Syndrome? Guardian heroes with online co-op would get my vote.

Weird how Ikaruga keeps getting ported, but they won't make a sequel.
