But having consistent character designs is, itself, a design choice.
I'll happily admit that I was quick to agree with those who said that the League of Legends (I think it was; unfortunately I can't remember or find specific examples) has some woeful character proportions. I certainly won't agree that the art here (especially the Amazon) is borderline revolting due to the character proportion mess.
Perhaps what I could say is that of both of them, there seems to be (to me) more attention to fine details in the Dragon's Crown art, which is interesting enough. What I'm thinking of had similar shading proficiency, some just kind of average, didn't-pay-attention-in-class horrible anatomy problems that just get laughed at (you have to almost admire the extremes to which the DC artwork has been taken, which is why I tend to think it's not completely accidental), and more fine detail in parts, which is always personally a favorite for me.
Essentially, I think that the only measure that really matters in this kind of art is whether it measures up to human tastes. Perhaps this is close to an objective standard, but it's far from the kind of standard being promoted by some posters here.
tl;dr why are we still fighting objective standards for subjective arts?
