Shmups for the TI-83+ graphing calculator
I know of a bunch of games named Phoenix that are shmups. There is a helicopter shmup and there are probably a few others too. Ticalc.org is a good resource for finding TI calculator games.

If phoenix is what I'm thinking of, I used to play that a lot in High School math classes. I think its similar to Galaga and there are a limited amount of lasers that can be fired.
I would pull out the calculator and the teacher thought I was working on my homework!
There is also a really well made version of tetris for the TI-83.
