Six O'Clock is another new WW1 side-scrolling shooter (by Cole Jefferies aka ColePowered) with a twist: Your biplane turns relative to the angle of the cursor/touched finger; the plane turns clockwise when the touch/cursor is below the plane and counterclockwise when the touch/cursor is above the plane. I think this control system is fairly unlikely to see the light of day in a bullet hell shmup because that system is less maneuverable than just moving the plane/ship in any desired direction.
This shmup contains 14 upgrades (7 for the plane and 7 for the gunner), fast bullets, but few on-screen enemies. To complete s wave, players must destroy a certain amount of enemies before proceeding to the upgrade screen. Later in the game, you'll confront zeppelins.

I tried this on XBLIG and it's pretty boring, really.
My 1CCs so I can find the list easier myself
<Despatche> you've been a thorn in the shmups community since the beginning, you're largely responsible for the horrible face of modern speedrunning

not much of a twist; this is basically time pilot with a directable gun and... even less variety?
not that i'm hating on the original for its own value. the only problem with that game is that konami never had the foresight to add a stage timer.

aside from less variety a control system that is mostly unsuitable with bullet hell shmups...Despatche wrote:not much of a twist; this is basically time pilot with a directable gun and...
I suggest that the dev add more on-screen enemies, an optional stage timer, difficulty settings, and a level system for the upgrades...
