That list is pretty darn impressive. All I can say is that it better be coming to the states or I will personally hunt down every major publisher in the country and make them release it. It's got 3 new Space Invaders. Those are worth the price alone. I think I'll skip out on Taito Memories now.

@ professor ganson

There is a really neat adapter for xbox called "magic box". Here is a link from Lik Sang. Its a really neat adapter. I have one and it works great for playing 2d games.

Well Tokio is a lot more entertaining in Yoko mode. I can't believe the default screen setting is that stretched out, full screen bullshit.

And, goddamn, I still love Rastan. Typical unbalanced arcade difficulty and all.

Battle Shark is also oddly addictive.

Pretty cool, I must say-- to be able to play with a Saturn pad on my XBox! Thanks, AFXisatwin.

Yeah the first option I toggled was the Aspect Ratio option. I turned it off just for curiosity's sake and was horrified lol. I'm loving Rastan too... came so close to 1CC'ing it the other night.

Volume 2 looks like Empire went and got all the titles from Taito Memories that didn't cross over in TL Vol. 1. Good move, but there's still no Rayforce or Bubble Symphony- unless of course these may be held back for a Volume 3.

Super Space Invaders '91 loses the Zone Select from Majestic 12. So, in this one you play all stages IIRC.
Kinect? KIN NOT.

Has anyone checked to see if Legends Vol. 1&2 together has everything from Memories Vol. 1&2? Anyway, with such a robust package, I definitely plan on getting the package. The only oddball I see is that SE now owns Taito; hopefully, Sega can still obtain the license for the US. This collection is really too good to miss.

Alright, I had the time to compare the game lists out myself and obviously the Legends version is far better with its exclusive hits in Legends 1. Legends 2 is made entirely from the missing Memories games but excludes 2 games:

Ah Eikou No Koshien - a baseball game never released outside Japan; nobody will likely care
Cadash - a strange omission considering it's already been released twice in the US; perhaps there were licensing issues?

Given that Cadash is among my all-time favorite sidescrollers, I'm somewhat disappointed that it was one of the unlucky 2 but the collection itself really is excellent and a great deal.

Seeing that list does make me feel a bit silly for shelling out for the import versions, but such is life.

Those who waited are in for quite a treat. G-Darius is a completely different game without all that slowdown.

Hmm, I think I'll play some now... :)

From what I've heard, I can definitely understand why no company would ever want to involve themselves with Working Designs, ever, unless they're Game Arts. ;)

I only ever played Cadash on the TG-16, I hate it to be honest. I get much more enjoyment out of Valis series and Legendary Axe.

What else was Cadash released on? It seems like it should be an awesome game but I just can't get into it. If there's a better version I'll give that a shot.

I'm really happy that I don't have to shell out for the imports now (provided Taito Legends 2 makes it to the US).

Cadash, I don't know, it's the kind of game I would normally love but I feel like it's eclipsed by so much other stuff from around that time that I love so much more.

There's a cool Wizards and Warriors/Faxanadu-like arcade game Jaleco made called Legend of Makai. Worth checking out for anyone who likes this sort of thing. I like how your sword always hurts enemies in it. So you can simply run forward to attack human height enemies that are right in front of you.

I go offtopic so much it should be illegal.

Edit: Okay I just tried out the arcade version of Cadash, there is simply no exscuse for this to not be on Taito Legends 2, it's AWESOME, it erases everything in the TG-16 game that I hated years ago.

Glad you enjoy the game. :P It was also released on the Genesis with an almost incomprehensibly translated plot (by Taito themselves at that). The Turbo version is the better home port by far. I doubt that WD still holds the US release rights to this game anymore but I could certainly be wrong.

I'm amazed Chuka Taisen wasn't on either Volume in Japan, and I'd hoped it would have snuck it's way onto our Collection.

This water pit at the beginning on the TG-16 version is still annoying me, like ten years later. I still never make this jump the first time through.
