I have a question:
I ordered the collection together with SaidaiOuJou. The collection has not been shipped yet. Do you think they will wait until saidaioujou has been released in order to ship both at the same time?

you didn't mention who "they" are, but "they" would obviously do as you ask them to.

For most online shops: more than likely, unless you request otherwise. Play-Asia for example gives you the option to do either/or. You can try contacting the seller to see if they can ship seperately if you don't mind the little bit of extra shipping charges.

Yeah, I think this guy might be bad at researching ahead of time. Whatever, he helped CAVE clear some stock and get some money, yeah?

So is there anything useful in the compiled manual book? Or should I just leave it sealed and have my way with the included guidebooks?
Why is it called the Vic Viper/Warp Rattler? Because the Options trail behind it in a serpent-like fashion, and the iconic front fins are designed to invoke the image of a snake's fangs.

Superplay DVD's are not 100% the normal DVD's they sold ( different colour case and no bar code ) so they had to print them for the shooting collection and not just put old stock in the box :

Also CAVE is all out of Shooting collection stock and will print no more :

So it sells out, and instead of making more to make some more money, they don't. Well played Cave, you old business geniuses, you.

This is basically giving the green light to the hoarders to start the gouging. The sellers on the Amazon link are already doing just that...78,000 yen? Ridiculous.

Get with the reprint, Cave. Make some damned money.

Play-Asia still has them in stock, not sure of anywhere else that would be cheaper.

I still can't fathom why the hell anyone wants one? No matter how expensive it gets, it's still a really bog standard budget collection.

Judging by the thread only a tiny portion of the community were mental enough to order one though: sanity prevails.

Well, even I have limits :P
While I did (stupidly maybe) preorder Saidaioujou SLE, this was a bit too rich for my taste (considering that I already own every single game in this collection, LEs no less).

Do you know why no one cares about Limited Editions in the West anymore? Easy, NOTHING is limited in the West, unlike Japan.

The Superplay DVDs are out of print, some of the DLC is almost impossible to get, so IMO the package is nice, the Star of the package is the DLC-disc, followed by the Superplay DVDs, the Rest is Ok.

Unlike Cave, which lets speculators do business with their fans. No seriously, not printing more packs is not only a bad business decision, it also hurts Cave fans.

You seem genuinely upset that anyone would buy this and i can't put my finger on why. As a test, i would just like to inform you that i have this collection sitting right next to all of the individual releases i previously purchased. It defies logic! Gahhhhhh!

The only thing I can think of is that Cave estimated how much demand there'd be for this collection, and then printed only as many copies as they knew for certain that they'd be able to sell. There's also quite possibly a minimum number of units they can produce in a single batch (presser/printer minimums), so they're basically in a situation where they know there's still some amount of demand for it, but perhaps not enough to sell through all the units that a new print batch would require. I'd imagine that at this point, spending money to produce product that goes partially unsold is something Cave wants to avoid at any cost.

Just speculation, though.

Skykid is always on a tirade about how other people spend money on things he doesn't care about, or how someone can like a game that he doesn't like. That's just how he rolls.

Plus, he has no qualms about simply obtaining the DLC DVD from someone else's set. So he really does see some value here, but he's willing to rant about it excessively while still benefiting from one of his "mental" friends.

Almost all CAVE games released + DL content, 7 super play dvd's that alone are worth well over $ 400,- and a bunch of sound tracks as bonus for $ 350,-

Budget crap and bad value for money ???

It's a bad value for the money if you already own most of the games.

No !
Even if you own all of the games the Super play DVD's loose would cost you ( a lot ) more than the whole box set !

Oh hell yes, this post makes total sense.

Budget collection it is, for sure, but fuck yes I'll have the dlc from an easily swayed friend. Fucking all of it. For free. Gimme! It's like Christmas and birthday rolled into one. Everyone loses except for me!

Maybe it's just me, but that says more about the accepted price of Superplay DVDs than it does about this boxset.
