I got a DVDO iScan VP-30 a few weeks ago and by now got all of my consoles (a variety of Japanese and PAL consoles) to work - except my PAL GameCube. All my consoles are hooked up using RGB SCART into a switchbox. From the switchbox I use a self-built breakout cable into the RGB + Sync component connectors of the VP-30.
For the GameCube I use the official RGB cable that Nintendo sold in Europe. You can see the schematic here: http://members.optusnet.com.au/eviltim/ ... m#gamecube
When I start the GameCube, I get an extremely dark image on the boot menu with heavy static noise. On my CRT TV the cable works just fine. I find that rather puzzling. One thing I noticed is that it's my only SCART plug that only has a few pins (all the important ones, obviously), thus missing several ground pins. But would this really explain a dark image with heavy noise in both sound and video?
