I told you some facts, and it is your burden to decide what to do with them. If there is nothing to be said in response, then one ought not to respond.

Does the MAME team get paid anything for this? Or just basically "Hey, feel honored that we use your emu now and don't want to sue you." :P I mean, assuming Taito did it all themselves with no help from the team or did any of the dev team give them assistance?

But I don't get it. How can it be of relevance the fact of YOU finding annoying my posting habits? Who are you besides a troll wannabe, to start with?

Granted it does not pertain to your first post, but it does pertain to your later posts, and since they are all collected here, I consider this as good a place as any.
Who are you besides a troll wannabe, to start with?
I'm just an anonymous internet user who finds your information interesting and your personality unbearable. If your personality was more bearable, I would consider that a win, and I would prefer you to change your attitude to me changing my perception of your current attitude. Now, I ask you a few questions: Do you consider your online attitude defensive and pedantic? Does it reflect your persona in real life, or has it changed in response to a long posting history? Do you think that your attitude might make people not want to read your posts? And, most importantly, do you care much about that possibility? If you answer some of those questions, I will probably leave you alone.[/i]

That is a question better addressed to yourself than to me. If you cannot find an answer, don't worry. I have made all the conclustions about you that I am interested to make on the basis of your replies.

Recap is an egocentric know-it-all who, due to knowing a lot about gaming, thinks he knows everything about it and thus considers his own opinions gospel. Furthermore, anyone who disagrees with him is an idiot and a troll, and he's convinced anybody who dislikes him dislikes him because of his opinions and not his presentation of them, nevermind that there are many people here who share his opinions yet aren't disliked the way he is.

Accept it and move on. He won't change.

You poeple missed my point.

they did not use mame. they had mame developers help them with the cod.e it may have used some code they've written that was also in mame. but it did NOT use mame itself.

They used the bootleg rom for it because they couldn't get the MCU dump for the non-bootleg. perhaps no one has it anymore?

Bottom line is, getting th eliscnse for the real thing, they gained the right to use a de-protected bootleg. You will see an occasional bootleg in Ultracade as well, but in every case, they had the rights to the original game. Yankee Do! is one example.

Dude, what's exactly this obession of you on me? This must be like the third time you write that psico-analisys crap about myself. And then the problem is that I'm "egocentric". Have you asked your doc about your own problem?

Maybe those who "aren't disliked the way I am" realize (or are intelligent enough to figure) that "my opinion's presentation" is due to some people that, like yourself, persist once and again on trolling anything I write here and bring back old flame wars to get Recap banned. Or maybe it is that they usually find informative what I have to say while they never got anything minimally illustrative from people like you. Or maybe even they can see that, even being the "egocentric know-it-all" you mention over and over again, Recap NEVER attacked anyone or cared about defaming others with lame psico-analisys crap.

I'd like to see the day where all of you who spend all that time on writing and bitching about Recap put the same time and effort on doing something constructive for the internet gaming community. In the meantime, remember that nobody is forcing you to read the posts from that "egocentric" and "xenophobic" "horse's ass" which is Recap. Eh, sethsez?

People aren't "obsessed" with you. They simply don't like you because you aren't friendly and just post the same things over and over. And when people take you to task for being rude and arrogant you say they are "overanalyzing" you, never mind you are the most critical and "analytical" person on the forum to the point of ad nauseum. If you don't like people confronting you then just shut up and don't do it yourself. Simple rule of life.

Quite a shame such a superfluous circumstance did cost you the moderator charge.

What I still fail to get is why you keep reading my posts if you hate me so much.

Oh, and literacy. You need it in order to realize that I don't post the same things over and over, and that they're actually interesting if you have a bit of gaming culture. Keep in mind you're still to show that you can write something informative or useful for somebody after... wait, about 1300 messages here?

There are people like Randorama, or NeoZeed over at TNL, who are perfectly capable of providing us with useful and interesting information routinely without being rude to everyone. Thus, I respect and like them, even if I've had a tiff with Rando in the past.

You'll probably reply to this with "so what" or "I don't care."

It didn't cost me anything. I stepped down voluntarily because I was no longer interested in moderating the forum. In fact, after stepping down I was even asked by admin to help them review the new mod candidates for the job and give them my input on which ones I liked best. My little run in with you just happened to coincide at the same time my interest in modding was wearing out. I had already modded for many months, I was having a crap day at work and your usual bland posts added to it.

yawn
Keep in mind you're still to show that you can write something informative or useful for somebody after... wait, about 1300 messages here?
Yep, 1300 posts on a hobby I love.

So I and most other folks here don't know the intricate inner technical workings of PCBs and the many nuances of low res, filtering and upscaling. Big deal. And yet after 300+ "informative" posts here, nobody likes you or takes you anywhere near as seriously as you take yourself. Irony. On most gaming forums when a person has as much knowledge as you, people respect and take that person seriously, enthusiastically asking them questions and looking up to them for answers. But both here and on other forums, people DON'T respect or like you, so what does that say?

So in short, yes you're informative and knowledgable but again, nobody likes you. And because of this, people constantly debate instead of agree with you because you're boring, rude, condescending and have no grasp on conversing with people. If you came into a thread with a better attitude people would pay more attention to you.

I seriously hope you don't talk the way you do here in real life because you'd be getting into a lot of fights. Maybe if you actually acted like you enjoyed the hobby instead of posting like some scholar with a stick up his butt every time a port has upscaling things would be different.

What is really funny is the fact that you are engaged in a mutli post detailed debate calling people who laugh at you trolls because someone in another forum said you need to stop "whinging" and YOU say we are "obsessed." lol To borrow some of your own "advice," if they're just "troll posts," then don't read them as you'd say to us. But yet you keep blathering on and accusing people of being trolls like a senile old man or a baby and then you turn around and tell us we're obsessed with you. Cry me a river.

I guarantee you, if someone came here who had the same knowledge as you but was just a bit friendlier nobody would pay attention to your posts at all and would ask that person questions instead. Just a matter of time before it happens.

The issue here isn't the fact that you know a lot about arcade hardware, nobody disagrees that you do. We just all agree that we don't like you because you're rude, arrogant and just repeat the same things over and over.

Interestingly enough, if I mentioned or elaborated any of those topics "I repeat over and over again" ALWAYS was because somebody asked. It's even happening at this moment. So don't pretend everybody here is as stupid as you were at your moment to miss that this is a lame attempt by some members to bring back old wars and making of Recap a whole subject, hence his "rudeness", "condescendence", whatever. And never forget that I always have fun with this stuff. So who wants "respect"?
