So, based on the latest entry in the Cave blog, it sounds like each of the included games will be on separate discs after all. Each disc will have full-color label/disc art, but they won't be packed in individual cases.

The Amazon listing for the collection has also been updated.

http://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B00AE12R1K

It looks like DFK and DFK BL will be on separate discs. Oddly, MMP + PS and Akai Katana Shin are shown as if they'd be on the same disc, but it's probably an error. Guwange won't be on a disc, and instead be a download code (wonder if it'll be redeemable on non-JP accounts...), and there is further confirmation that all of the DLC will be on a separate install disc.

Given the niche appeal of these games, this really is just a collectors item that is going to be bought by people who already own the games, and those that intend to turn a profit by flogging it on ebay in six months time. Of course it makes money for CAVE but it's far from a definitive collection due to the omission of ketsui and DOJ (for obvious reasons)

They really need to release photos of this collection. I'm also still bothered that they didn't include any new games in this, yet they are charging a ton of money. I guess those superplays better be good.

What do you mean, again? Has it ever not been available? It's misspelled in the XBox Live! website, do a search for "Hutari".

I wonder if that will use some sort of online activation code. Otherwise I could see that DLC disc become the village bicycle.

Although personally, I'd be really disappointed if the DLC disc requires the internet to activate. Having a physical copy of the DLC is great for future-proofing in case Live goes away. If I still need Live to active it, that kind of defeats the whole purpose for having a physical copy in the first place.

I'd be amazed if the DLC turns out to be hard-coded into the disc rather than a redeemable code with the data on the disc... given the current structure of the DLC on the Xbox servers.

Ultimately, once the servers go down enthusiasts will be able to mods their consoles easily without fear of recrimination or firmware will become available to allow running of restricted code.

tl;dr I doubt they'll provide a hard copy of pre-order DLC (although I'll happily be proven wrong)

Dont think i can justify it :(

Hm I had a feeling the deal with Guwange was going to be a code. ^^;
VixyNyan wrote:Also Guwange is probably a XBLA redeem code(...)
Then that means that the rest of the pack will be each game separate on one disc each, with DLC on another disc or more redeem codes. o.o;

If all the DLC turns out to be redeem codes, then this is pretty failtastic.

I'd just wait for the Xbox 460 version, which will some how manage to be even more complete and even more desirable.

It's Cave, you so know it's going to happen.

I'm more interested in production numbers. Honestly, it doesn't seem like the greatest deal unless it comes with a special box.

I can't believe I just said that.

I very much doubt they'd "reprint" (how would they reprint the labels of the discs?) and repackage unsold stock; that would be way too much effort (pressed DVDs cost next to nothing nowadays).
It happens a lot in the industry (both reprints (that sometimes just takes an order placement with the original production outfit for an additional carbon-copy run) and repackaging (there's even companies that offer it as a service (there was something with Rock Band or Guitar Hero once where they had to insert a new disk, IIRC)). I actually did mean simply putting existing stock as is in a new 'outer box' to hold it all, but it seems I was wrong anyway!

So, RSG is bringing this to the west? That would explain why we haven't seen a localized Mushi HD so far. :mrgreen:
I've honestly heard nothing of that sort from RSG (I've also not heard them say they're not touching it). I know nothing eitherway on that front.

Each copy comes with a unique handwritten rant by Yagawa about how annoying Cave is to work for and the wonders of Assembly.

I actually theorize that Yagawa spends very little of his work-day at Cave actually doing work; the majority of said time is spent furiously masturbating to fan-art of the Ibara/Pink Sweets characters.

Why would he be talking about black label? Most people have been talking about getting DLC that was for 1st print run only. It was obvious to everyone here but you.
Those of you getting fired up with one another here - play nice! We can debate and have opposing opinions without being rude or deliberately antagonistic, and it's getting a little testy in here. As Drachenherz said... 'be cool'. Don't derail an otherwise interesting and good natured thread.

Talk about cutting costs! :shock:

I'd almost buy this for the costs savings on the superplay titles. Still not worth ¥24,800 though as they are nice in individual packs too. I guess if you own none of the games already and want everything in one big lot, this collection makes a lot of sense.

That said, with the LE titles, you miss out on the soundtrack CD and any other goodies so it's six of one, half a dozen of the other really. :oops:

I've been um-ing and ah-ing about selling my collection to buy this and hopefully plug a few gaps in the process, but I'm not sure it would be worth the hassle now. It's definitely a cool package for people who don't have a Japanese Xbox 360 yet, and I know there's a few of them. What do you reckon the print run on this is likely to be?

At least the discs are colour for once, unlike the original japanese cave releases.

It could be seen as surprising that Cave didn't add on a further ¥10,000 to exploit this to the collectors. :lol:
