I hope there's at least one blood sacrifice to a Mayan god.

No blood of a virgin? That's going to piss Quetzalcoatl off.

Nah, not me. Mine is a little better, although it's still pretty shitty. My armor piece is currently held together by clothespins. I'll try and get a picture for apocalyptic proof.

Are you going to be naked again on that picture?
Naked people are so apocalyptic.

I bought a camera to film it all in HD.

The thing is with predictions, is that sometimes, just sometimes people act on them to make them come true.

What if the person who did the prediction saw the future on a TV screen? S/he might be watching 2012 on blu ray not realizing it.

One thing is for sure. Apart from fancy phones, faster computers and space travel, humanity has seen the pinnacle of itself right about now. Its all down hill from here baby.
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

@Udderdude: Actually, Quetzalcouatl was unusual among the Mexica teotl for NOT wanting human sacrifices. Or, perhaps better still, needing them. It took a lot of the other teotl's blood to help Tonatiuh (the sun teotl) cross the sky each day, and the sooner they got a human blood transfusion, the better. Especially with the Tzitzimichi hammering at the doors to the world non-stop...

Besides, the idea of the world ENDING on 12/21/12, or anywhere in remote proximity to that, would be news to the Maya. All the double rollover of their two calendars predicted was a great auspice for anyone alive then (might not want to say that to anybody in Connecticut right now, though. Not even with cold iron plated mail.). NO MASS RUIN OF ANY SORT. Not to mention it seems like the Maya WOULD have continued crafting calendars past that rollover point. The reason they didn't, I think, is that this was around the time that the agricultural infrastructure was starting to collapse upon itself. Because of their understanding of temporal cycles, the Maya upper class probably thought the double rollover, especially with it so relatively far away, was a good point to leave off for the non, while they dealt with bigger concerns.

Wikipedia is ran by the Mayans, though. You can't trust anyone.

Here the government has restricted access to a hill where silly hippies gather to try to spot aliens and do other existential energetic hippie stuff so they don't commit mass suicide.

"Our countdown timer has been carefully calculated and verified to be accurate right down to the very last second."

I'd like to ask them how exactly they verified that information.

They must be using a super expensive nuclear clock. We need to know exactly when the end is coming.

The addition of tequila is just enough to prevent the Mayan Sacrifice from being too sweet and ordinary.
But not enough to prevent THE END. OF THE WORLD.[/science]

Ouch, you should get to them before they petrify!

I have scheduled a haircut for zero hour (or roughly so - noon EST). Then go get a new driver's license picture, which means I'll never have to do that again. Waitin' for the world to end in style at the DMV.
