Hah, I guess they misread ち as ら... Understandable, but still hilarious.

My guess is that Cave could simply make this up out of unsold/re-printed stock, so alas I don't see the regions of the disks changing.

In the meantime, I'll see if I can wangle any industry gossip on this. I did hear a murmur...

I very much doubt they'd "reprint" (how would they reprint the labels of the discs?) and repackage unsold stock; that would be way too much effort (pressed DVDs cost next to nothing nowadays). Besides, supposedly the collection will also contain the DLC (though I guess that could be put on a separate disc, or worse, consist of download codes).

If this collection should indeed consist of old repacked discs + download codes, then my buying interest drops to 0.

Guys.

You're all missing the point. There are 7 discs. How will they be packaged? In cardboard.

I bet they'll be a Cave logo on it too. :)

According to the Amazon listing, all the DLC will be on a dedicated "install disc".

That number is only for the Super Play DVDs. The number of actual game discs is still unknown.

I want a NTSC-J 360 and this CAVE Shooting Collection from Santa :)

Or maybe I can do a Kickstarter "Help z0mbie90 afford a Jap 360 and some nice Shooting Games".

So, RSG is bringing this to the west? That would explain why we haven't seen a localized Mushi HD so far.

Wouldn't surprise me if the whole box is region free. I can't see anymore Cave games getting published in the west. But what do I know???

This seems like an Extremely Good Bargain For someone like me that lacks
the Japanese versions of these games... I'm going to be begging and pleading for this
being published here in the US, because The IPhone Just doesn't cut precision
dodging when you need it most, ESPECIALLY if there are patterns that require
you to "Tap" lightly.

I'm very appreciative of the great fanservice going on here!
Thank you very much for the unlocked DLC, CAVE!
At long last, this will be a BIG BANG!

Did I fall into a black hole and emerge into another universe where the first two pages of Bitch-Fest-2k12 (aka CAVE Shooting Collection X360 thread) don't exist? I wasn't throwing around nasty insults ”because people don't want to buy a package”, I was pointing out what a complete bunch of abject crybabies the majority of posters in the first couple of pages were being! If you don't want it....DON'T BUY IT! NO ONE IS FORCING YOU! It seems odd as hell to me that I came to the forum excited to talk about this release with fellow shmuppers but most of you just want to piss and moan. Why? Seriously what is wrong with you people? For $300 you get almost every Cave game released this gen, 2 booklets, 7 super play dvds AND all the DLC plus Guwange in a physical form that won't be available next gen when MS shuts down XBL support for 360 games and their DLC (just like they already have done for Xbox 1 titles and their DLC). Given that many people in this thread would argue that certain DLC modes are often the best reason to play a particular title I'd think the ability to archive the DLC alone would be worth the expense. But people here think it makes more sense to pay $1000+ for just the Matsuri PCB of any given title but not $300 for this awesome collection and it's extras....sure, that makes sense.....So please explain to me what there is to bitch about? If you don't want to buy it just leave the thread. No really...leave the thread. Meanwhile the fact that I'm called an asshole without any repercussions to the offending party yet my posts get deleted or edited is the height of absurdity...especially given the overwhelming supporting comments made right after my first post by others feeling the same about the crybabies that the mods then conveniently removed to allow Bitch-Fest-2k12 to be continued by the overly vocal MINORITY….speaking of whom….

Agreed. I think this release is solely meant to get the games in the hands of the hardcore fans in a definitive collection with a bunch of goodies. I don't mean this offensively to RSG but they couldn't handle a US release for Under Defeat on Xbox...there is no way they are taking on a release of this size. No one is going to license this; it's simply too much for the western market (see the original Steel Battalion's performance in the West if you don't believe me...). But if there is any chance that Cave is going under as some suspect then this might be a final thanks to the fans and I'd imagine they might consider removing the unnecessary region locks on the games that aren't rf already. If not then they will simply mirror the previous release with some region free and some region locked.

1. Either your statements are rhetorical (in which case, their construction/delivery needs a bit more attention) and you're simply trying to establish yourself and your thinking as "sensible, amidst this madness!"

OR

2. You're (somehow) unintelligent enough to not understand (even after it's been explained in this thread) what Cave's current MO is.

IF 2, THEN
Let me explain it to you one final time, that it may be let go of and never again addressed in this thread (aside from a satirical referencing of this post [which I expect]):

This is a way for cave to repackage/resell their goods; it's a good way for them to get a cash injection without much investment. THE END.

The reality of THAT Is so obvious their actions need no further discernment from the fans OR the cynics.
As a result of the clash between the ignorant and the informed, further abstraction/speculation is only going to lead to more fruitless arguing

So you attack Cave for being "evil" capitalists and indict the capitalistic system and then you rebuttal my point by saying that I'm stating the obvious...which then counters your point in it's entirety. Thanks for showing that every word from your mouth is so stupid that even you have to come back around to correcting yourself. At least you had the integrity to admit that you are a fool.

Wow...really is that the best you can do? Seriously that's all you've got? I love how I'm "ranting" and your comments are.....what? Intelligent conversation? Bwahahahahahahahahahahahha. Oh my lord what a silly little person you are! I'm not responding to you again, I can't waste anymore time with simpletons like you.

To those of you like me buying this release it should be awesome and we can laugh at Skykid and Co. when they have to pay 4 times retail price just to get ahold of the DLC disk because they wanted to act like babies instead of just buying the collection. So it's doubly delicious!

my personal opinion is that there's a possibility (until proven otherwise) that

1) they want/need to make money from said games while they still can (or sales haven't been good recently), and/or
2) this collection's price and/or interest could drop if it has to compete with new games (even Cave's, if they do make a new game/port), so they must choose their timing carefully

since I'm not well-informed enough, I wonder (since mobile games seem to be a big thing) if Cave's mobile games are doing well enough to keep the whole company running. In any case, I don't own any of the 360 Cave games, but since they're on my checklist, I'll purchase them (before even owning a 360 and a seimitsu stick, haha :D), unless my budget somehow goes wrong.

... Is too incomplete.

That they can't grant their fans a fuller [emulated?] collection is a little saddening - or even sort out a deal with 5pb [despite the somewhat shakey port] Doj and ketsui are the two best games imho.

No impetus to pick it up at all: just doesn't feel special, and at the suggested price it is not going to attract a wider audience. An additional game or few and I'd be convinced they put some heart into this... as it is... seems a bit weak - as has been suggested, a platinum release in disguise, not a prideful master collection.

Im not sure why, but im actually worried that the games in the package wont have solid individual cases and will come all in a a cardboard fold out box.
