I don't know, the XBLA release should at least get a Steam re-release like Cave Story+ did. I enjoyed the original but am irritated that I can't play the better version.

I almost fear to pick up the PC version (too much hype), but I'm bound to go there at some point. The 360 port makes that console a bit more desirable...

It will be coming to Steam eventually but there's some exclusivity deal with Microsoft for the time being.

I didn't feel like playing a 2D platform game with a 360 gamepad anyway. It may be working for all I care, but... you know. There are things just working on the 'Cube joypad that I'd still rather be doing with some other control device.
Speaking of which, Nintendo, I keep waiting for all those games that SHOULD be done with CCP in mind.

Has the game gotten a patch yet? There's issues I have with the game that are a real turnoff, like it not working with arcade sticks (plug in an arcade stick and the controls go haywire, keeps moving you right or left), or how the HUD elements don't disappear if you're playing multiplayer and someone's up at the top of the screen, etc. It's a fun game, but it feels like there's some sloppy design elements they didn't address and I'm not sure I want to drop money on it (I also preferred the pixel-art of the original, but that's just me).

Spelunky is a legit reason to buy a Vita. I'm considering it.

Wow, I didn't even know this thread existed; I love this game. (I actually happen to be wearing a Spelunky T-shirt as I write this.)

Awesome news about the PS3/Vita port.
