Rotating the screen on sega NNC
How hard is this to do, can it be done by one person or should I have an extra hand to help.

Re: Rotating the screen on sega NNC
It's easy to do and can be done by a single person - but the monitor is heavy..... i've done it a number of times.
Re: Rotating the screen on sega NNC
Cheers I shall give it a go later, can't find any info online.
do I have to disconnect any cables? Or is it just lift and twist?
edit: I see you answered over here

hopefully I'm not found on my back in 3 weeks with a CRT on top of me

Re: Rotating the screen on sega NNC
If I'm being honest I can't remember, but I suspect I disconnected the VGA and PWR leads from the side of the chassis - but I'm not sure you need to bother.
I think you rotate CW iirc.
Key tip is to use some gloves to save the frame ripping your hands apart!

Re: Rotating the screen on sega NNC
I plugged in the DDP DOJ PCB last night and it was playing to the left.
Hopefully its easy enough to swap about.

Re: Rotating the screen on sega NNC
With the blast, I have to take the CP off to get close enough to do it by my self. I know not an option with the NAC. Some people have reported that laying the cab on its back makes it a piece of cake.
Re: Rotating the screen on sega NNC
This is a NNC not a NAC.

Re: Rotating the screen on sega NNC
Cheers lads I'm going in

Re: Rotating the screen on sega NNC
Going to have to wait, its heavy I dont want to damage the monitor. maybe if i eat a can of spinach.
Re: Rotating the screen on sega NNC
With my Blast City, I lay the cab on it's back and it's a piece of cake... well, not that easy, but still 100% easier than if it was standing up. An average person is not going to be able to rotate a 27'" screen on a upright cab.

Re: Rotating the screen on sega NNC
i read somewhere that it's easier with a nnc / naomi to lay it down forward, with the screen on some cloth / pillow.
Re: Rotating the screen on sega NNC

I mustered all my strength when I did my Egret 3.chempop wrote:With my Blast City, I lay the cab on it's back and it's a piece of cake... well, not that easy, but still 100% easier than if it was standing up. An average person is not going to be able to rotate a 27'" screen on a upright cab.
I mean, the expense of replacing a broken tube/chassis gave me the powwerrrrrr.
