Did yours come with the trading card? I remember looking some years back (after I spent unwise amounts on sealed copies of many other titles) and that seemed hard to find.

Mine did not :(

Haha, that's what I get for not looking up the name first and just assuming. Now I know! :D

Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse has a costume with grappling hook. Batman Return of the Joker GB and Batman Returns SMS and GG have grappling hooks too.

This thread really makes me sad. So many of the games suggested use the concept as an afterthought rather than a core mechanic.

Messhof's "You Found the Grappling Hook!" is pretty fun for one or two playthroughs (it's quite short, freeware).

Also, Matt Thornson's Give Up Robot 1 & 2 on Adult Swim games are pretty rad, if you like Matt Thornson.

Been playing Just Cause 2. Mucho fun, even if the grappling is the only thing the game does exceptionally well at.

Also, don't forget Bionic Commando Rearmed 1&2. The first one renders the NES & GB games obsolete. Essential purchase. Only played the demo of the 2nd - it was alright.

Resident Evil 4 (Separate Ways), where it works a lot like the aforementioned brush technique in Ōkami.
The rear gate is closed down
The way out is cut off

Oh wow, I can't believe nobody mentioned Mega Man 8's Thunder Claw... That game truly has the best weapon set of all the classic series.

Somebody should make a fighting game with grappling hooks. Just make the stages tall and have the players chase each other around. I think it could be interesting.

Already done amazingly well in Bionic Commando Rearmed's versus multiplayer mode, which no one gave a fuck about because it didn't have online support.

Also, Spencer in MvC3 and Hazama in Blazblue.
