For what it's worth, you're so entirely off base that it's hilarious. Your overreaction and misinterpreting ebarrett's post makes it even better.

Not only is Super Star Shooter like Blade Buster - Blade Buster was pretty much based on Super Star Shooter. It's the right choice!

Is it OK to use the GBA version or do I have to track down a 68k emu?

WinX68k is the best. Also according to the score thread the game version must be 2.00, recognizable by a blue background and much more original graphics.

HOW TO KEYBOARD!

This game's keyboard support is lousy even for X68000. Movement is with the numpad (8/2/4/6), and fire and throttle are XF1 and XF2, two keys unique to the X68000. In your emulator, you need to bind your desired keys to those keycodes.

If the emulator has a key-to-joy mode, make sure the emulator can properly handle conflicting direction inputs.
