He wanted me to tell yall that all those japanese mech pilots are gay dicklords!

Seriously, though. It was a fairly decent shmup. I'm not to into the theme of the game but it was a fun play.[/img]

I'm inclined to agree, as the close up attacks are one of the things that make gunbird 2 superior to the strikers games, at least gameplay-wise :) And the fact that the sword move doubles as a shield is excellent. Find it weird that it doesn't get talked about much.

Make sure you sleep with your door locked if that kid ever spends the night at your place, Circuit.

Kidding.

It's just that expression on that pic is not too... friendly, if you ask me.

Yeah, even if you didn't tell me he insulted Vasara II, my first impression of the kid would have been "This kid needs a punch in the face."

I find it even weirder that neither game in the series has gotten home ports, as they are both superior to any Psikyo shmup I've ever played, particularly the Japanese-themed ones.

Jeez, guys - he's just a kid. And i would have to agree with him - those mech pilots in Vasara II are most definetly dicklords.

To be honest i really didn't enjoy the game that much. Now that i think about it it was kinda... hollow. I can't see myself putting forth another hour of playing that game. I'll try the first one out before i make to many judgements, though.

On a brighter note we also played through Pang! 3, Final Fight, Metal Slug 3, and Xexex (which was awesome).

Heh heh... Don Tacos.

I recently got a Vasara II pcb and I think the game is beautiful. It's not the greatest shmup ever, i.e. Ghost Pilots, but it suffices.

It isn't perfect by any means, but it does deserve more attention than it gets
