did you see on simmon's video the mid boss 5 skyrocket on maniac?
it's a ps2 video, the guy build his counter to 300000
I don't know how he does it since you need a 20 or 30 Hz C+ for long range skyrocket, and according to strategy thread, this doesn't exist on ps2
I mailed simmon, but still no answer....
now I understand how they do 900mil and more on maniac mode...

they have added stage 2 and 3 ultra boss replay too
I tried to skyrocket mid boss 5 with the C+ at 2, but as I said it doesn't work
And I quiet sure that's a ps2 vids cauz the big pattern doesn't slowdown...
the file name is mushi_m5c30, m5 for mid boss5 and c30 for C+ 30Hz or 300000 counter?
In fact he starts to skyrocket at long range (100000 to 200000) then at close range up to 300000...I don't understand

maco's right, C+ 3 works as long range C banking (for the ST5 Midboss).
On the PS2 its a trade-off though, as you can't assign 2 C+ rates.
C+ 3 doesn't bank the ST2 Midboss very well, as it requires short range C+ 2 banking, etc...
My ideal settings would involve 6 fire settings; A, C, A+ 4, A+ 15 for the ST4 Midboss, C+ 2 and C+ 3 for the ST5 Midboss
It seems that such a set up is only possible on a cab.

New score:
Don't even know what happened... didn't get any farther, but my score skyrockets in Stage 3 just from moving slowly to the far left of the screen and then back to the far right :p My score is only around 8 million at the end of stage 2 O_________o;;;

No words, just an ugly pic:

Maniac mode
AIVA-LUN - 216,407,161 - ALL - Default
First death at the end of stage 5... Second stupid one when the last boss was almost dead...
Fantastic run, totally unexpected. Good stage 4 mid boss and super stage 5 mid boss, I've carried ahead 80.000 hits for a long time...
Ok, I'm finally satisfied

I started playing seriously with wide power and man, does it ever increase your score. Once you get used to Reko and Kinrio's slower speed it's a blast to use:
Maniac mode:

You're right! I just tried W-power and got my highest score ever in Maniac. I usually use S-power. My score still sucks but it's good for me.Dylan1CC wrote:I started playing seriously with wide power and man, does it ever increase your score.
