With 2 Cave PCBs recently acquired, I'm now determined to 1cc at least 1 of them.
Between ESP Ra. De. and Mushihimesama, which would you recommend for a 1cc attempt? Keep in mind I'm probably "average" at this point with these 2 games (can make it to stage 3/boss or stage 4/start without continuing on both games as of now).
Also, any good practice tips or tutorials would be greatly appreciated -
Ra.De's bomb system is absolutely broken in my opinion. It's not a real easy game to clear due to the final boss, believe me, but you can get 5 bombs out of 1 bar and if you plan refills you can spend quite a bit of the game invulnerable to bullets. Holding the bomb button doesn't drain much of the charge bar, either - even if you hold for 6 seconds you probably can make at least 2 or 3 more bombs.
If you strategize, bombing can take almost all the challenge out of the game, is what I'm saying.
Mushi original is the easiest by far people finding it difficult are just approaching it in the wrong manner with the exception of a couple bosses its pretty much a standard memoriser you should know exactly whats coming next all the time so bullet speed should not make a difference but if you are playing on pure reflexes then yeah you will find it harder .
mushi original. just ignore any of the scoring tricks. first three stages you should be able to nm1b (stage 3 boss has one pattern i cant stand, so i bomb towards the end of it). stage 4 has a few hairy parts, but the second half through the dragonflies is piss easy once you figure it out. stage 5 you can bomb the crap out of, especially the mid-boss and the second half. final boss is pretty easy, 2 bombs tops.
rade has that dumb *dies* "i dodged that shit!" *punches control panel* hitbox.

I think that's going to be my toughest challenge for ANY Cave game - I mostly play shooters on reflex... Obviously going to have to change that.
Well its only 5 stages long so not exactly much to remember shouldnt take you long to never die on stages 1 and 2 a bit longer for 3 , 4 is pretty easy boss might need a bomb or 2 so that leaves 5 which really is the only dangerous stage plenty of sniper action and tap dodging .
Mushi Original was my first Cave 1CC I think- fun and pretty easy to get down with a small amount of practice. ESPrade, while awesome, is definitely harder in the leter levels unless you plan on bombing. Especially some of the later bullet patterns.
