It's Kemco's labor of love.

EDIT: Erm, Zoom's labor of love.

Of course, that's just an opinion.

The changes in the port definitely made it easier. Your ship's HP was increased from 3 to 4, max weapons you could carry was increased from 3 to 4, and you were given 3 standard screen-clearing bombs on top of that. Also, your pilot's name was [reverted to:] "Riki Sanada" instead of "Wink Baufield" (ugh).
It also lost "Funny Mode" in the GBA port. Is "funny mode" present in the original X68k rev?

Also, the GBA Phalanx saves hiscores, but -epic fail- the only board doesn't state at which level of difficulty you played.

Nope, it's one of the reasons the SNES version is so great.

Not even in the Wiiware version? seems like a major wasted opportunity not to include it.

Beats me, I haven't played it because nobody decided to localize it, as if that would have required any effort.

Makes me so angry, I was really looking forward to this too.

Sad thing is, the guy with the banjo probably isn't alive anymore today, due to old age...

Eh, don't tell me - didn't invest in a Wii, so I'm secretely hoping that all the best wiiware releases (all four of them?) will become PSP minis or something like that in future...

Nah, I think he and Segata Sanshiro are off somewhere playing Dueling Banjos.

Admit it. You all bought the game because of the epic cover art.

did anyone ever find out what the f*ck they were thinking?
"Better play the game or you'll be left in the past", i think that's the idea, and i agree it's epic and funny at the same time.
