It'd actually be neat if you could post the results when you feel like you've aggregated enough information. I'm sure it would help out a lot of developers who are starting new projects and aren't sure of the general idea for their game mechanics.

It's good to take a relevant survey, for once.
Why is it called the Vic Viper/Warp Rattler? Because the Options trail behind it in a serpent-like fashion, and the iconic front fins are designed to invoke the image of a snake's fangs.

Seconding this, I'd be interested to see the results.

Done. Tried to have simple and slightly more complex answers. Because after all the foundation of the genre is quite simple. Blow shit up, the one-man-army idea. Best of luck to you!

Done. I wrote a bit about Galuda and Akai Katana points items that have a point, beyond just points

Also dimahoo for the secrets and 100+ treasures!

One thing I wasn't sure about was the question on difficulty. Did you mean game settings (easy/normal/hard), or general difficulty of any particular game?

Done. I'd also like to note that getting a new high score is only satisfying if you put work into it and understand how you got there, rather than just getting lucky with that run.

I filled this out earlier today, though I'm not really that good. I can't really get 1CC's while taking the risks usually involved in scoring decently well, as the best I've done recently in clearing is around halfway through the first lifebar of the TLB in Crimson Clover on Simple Mode.
I do like trying to get better scores while I'm going for 1CC's, of course, though I (usually) won't go so far as to keep my rank up on stages I know I have trouble with.
