Oh god! I'm fully aware of what a gurner I am, but it's still quite a surprise to see. Now you see why I stay away from ecstasy!

Such a great day at the meet today. Some awesome credits (especially on Mushi, Darius Burst and Donpachi), a great turnout, a lovely meal, and a fine old time down the pub.

Smraedis did a reccy down to the Troc, and it seems there's another new arcade area opened. Dan76 revealed that he, I, Skykid, MX7, JDE and Rupert H are now Cave collectibles. Dan76 stepped up as tea-boy for the members of an anti-scientology protest group, and I got very excited by 1-lifing it to almost the final boss of Progear. I might set myself a 'get to the second loop' challenge.

I've got a few pictures to post, but they won't have the compositional hipness that hzt's boast. Some great shots there hzt.

And sorry I didn't make it today. I'm gutted to have missed out, but the boat was pretty fucking amazing. Rupert H; if your lady does convince you to live on a boat, me and Keira are coming to visit. Getting through those locks is damn fine fun.

I also took about 150 pictures of what Troc looks like these days, a lot of them are of ceilings and exposed pipes and stuff but I'll upload some shots later/tomorrow.

An excellent meet once again. Been good to see faces new (mr_m0nks, Illyrian, Aliquantic and others) and old (the Casino regulars) throughout the whole of the weekend, and lots of fun and hilarity has been had by all. Some excellent demonstrations, fun chats about everything and anything, and good meals out with friends. It's been interesting to watch some tricks for Donpachi performed by Smraedis, real eye-opening stuff; various players taking on Mushi on the various difficulties; and CHI giving MMP! and Darius Burst AC a workout. I've been caning Darius Burst AC all weekend, partly as I want to wipe CHI's best Hard Route score off the top, and partly because I have no idea when I'll see it again, so I'm getting in as much time with it as I can. My favorite highlight was clearing DBAC's very difficult CGL Hard route in two-player co-op with Skykid, and no-missing the whole run including Great Thing in the process, as well as attempting to all-clear Chorensha 68K on a 90" wall-projected screen at 3am in the morning.

I haven't taken as many photos this weekend, but I've got a fair bit of video footage I'll be dumping to YT when I get back to a faster upload stream.

For now, I'll be at Casino until early evening tomorrow, as I'll be travelling back to Newcastle at 10pm. If anyone's passing through, you'll know where to find me. ^_-
