London Meet 2012 (Fri 4th to Sun 6th May)

Since no-one's thrown this out yet, I think I should.
Anyone up for planning another big meetup in London for Easter this year? Specifically the Fri 4th to Sun 6th May? Last year's big meet was well-received, and with it being on a long weekend, we had plenty of people around. This year should be on the same time frame, and arranged early to give people time to prepare.
I'll be coming down regardless, as Easter is a good time to get off work for a spring break.

Grrr. Even though I suggested the dates, it turns out that I'll be unable to come down to London on those dates, as I've been denied holiday time on them due to another member of staff taking those dates off already (only one staff member off on holiday at any one time, irritatingly).
So, unless you guys are open to renegotiating the dates for the meet, looks like I won't be attending this one. :/

Okay, I've requested a week off for the first week of May, so if all goes to plan, I'll be down for the weekend of Fri 4th to Sun 6th May. Mainly to coincide with payday, as I'll be looking around for a second-hand musical instruments shop when I get down there, lol. I'll let you guys know if it goes according to plan, and we can progress from there.

I'm sure you know your onions, but Denmark Street just off Totenham Court Road is a guitarists mecca. A ridiculous amount of music shops, and because they're all in direct competion, you can haggle like crazy and get great prices.

if it is indeed 4-6May, I think the earliest I could get there is 10:30pm on the Friday, a bit late I know.
I can come down any of the weeks around this on the Friday, or even the Thursday.

I believe it is the 10th bigger meet no idea about number of smaller meets that have happened in the past.

Not yet. I'm still waiting for my holidays to be authorised, as it's all over the place at the moment. Once I get confirmation that it's good to go, I'll book as soon as I can and set the dates in stone. Else you guys will have to have a party without me, lmao.
I'll likely need some help with accommodation as well, as it's the Olympics this year, and because of that, all the hotels I usually go to have nearly tripled their prices. If anyone's got a floor free for a weary travelling shmupper (CHI? spadgy? Illyrian?), hit me up and I'll come down bearing alcoholic gifts of appreciation, lol.
