That is true, I forgot about that. I haven't followed the case that closely as I don't really play fighters. I imagine they severely underestimated their audiences' readiness and ability to go through the disc and just tried to bluff their way through. Had they presented the whole thing more honestly with a focus on improving compatibility and DLC-delivery-logistics, there might not be as big of a hubbub as there is now.Friendly wrote:Let's not forget that Capcom lied when they said that the other characters weren't ready - until they were discoverd to be on the disc.

Just when I thought Capcom fighters couldn't get any worse.
I used to joke with my friends that Capcom would eventually release a turn based Street Fighter RPG with attacks selectable from menus, but seeing Ono's ideas on the future of fighting games (and how horribly dumbed down are right now) I think I wasn't so far from truth.

I just remembered that Capcom is the classy company that put suicide batteries into its arcade boards (CPS), and without telling arcade operators.

Oh, now I see why they can get money for DLC.
They need to balance the extra characters.
That can't be cheap to do

Someone needs to do a full-on fighter a la Pocket Fighters with the characters/sprites from Namco X Capcom.Shelcoof wrote:close enough?Hagane wrote:Just when I thought Capcom fighters couldn't get any worse.

Like I said before, you can't really blame the companies. Gamers will pay for absolutely anything.I really like the level design in SFxT and have even said that I'd be willing to pay something for some extra stages because they're so well done imo.
Re: Fun With DLC - This Week: Crapcom
Then you have old school guys like me who aren't willing to throw money at these companies. But I think the majority of gamers are willing to toss their money at these companies any chance they getRuldra wrote:From the comments:mesh control wrote:http://shoryuken.com/2012/03/21/rumor-m ... en-as-dlc/

Those comments can be from Capcom-sponsored sockpuppets, as they try to do some damage control. LOLZ.
Don't hold grudges. GET EVEN.

Why does Mega Man look like a fat, ugly old man?

Re: Fun With DLC - This Week: Crapcom
lol I think it's Capcom's way of getting back at Kenji Inafune for quitting and dissing Capcom.Friendly wrote:Why does Mega Man look like a fat, ugly old man?
Re: Fun With DLC - This Week: Crapcom
it was actually inafune's idea. it's supposed to be the megaman from the old nes us boxart

The universe is neither hostile nor friendly, simply indifferent.
Even without my umbillical cable attached I still have over 12,000 plates of fortified armour AND I have my AT Field! There's NO WAY I can lose!!

Yeah, I know, see my earlier post here: http://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.ph ... 70#p780170
But still. He's not fat and old on the NES box. Isn't Mega Man supposed to be a cyborg??

Top right corner, the white mushroom house with the P-Wing has two locks blocking it (you normally have to make it appear by collecting every single coin in the autoscrolling stage 4).shmuppyLove wrote:I can't tell what's supposed to be locked in SMB3 ?
Edit: wait, both the normal mushroom houses are greyed out now, lol

Re: Fun With DLC - This Week: Crapcom
WHERE'S THAT THREAD ABOUT HOW HORRIBAD SFxT IS?
Meh whatever
http://youtu.be/7HtO2ml7RUM
Edit: I don't know why I'm devoting any significant amount of brain power to this, but WWWWTTTTFFFFF are Mega Man, Pac-Man and whatever other Capcom and Namco characters in this game that aren't from Street Fighter or Tekken?? It's Street Fighter x Tekken. They did Namco x Capcom already, unfortunately as a shitty tactical RPG because the character roster was way better and it would have made the bestest fightan gaem evar since mugen. Namco went all the way back to 1985 for some characters.
