Yeah definitely. It would be so awesome to have all my favorite cave games on the go. I'm also holding out for a gunwange port, I think they could do something interesting regarding the shikigami control.Kaspal wrote:i wish for them to bring Ketsui and Mushi Futari... i'd die happily after that.drunkhobo wrote:The price point is the only way that I could make sense of what they ported in my head. Played again this morning on hard. Regrettably, died on Koryu again by frittering away lives in the 5th stage. Cock and balls. At least I breached 100mil this time.
Fun game is fun.

Yeah, I played it almost for the first time and 1-ALL it on hell.
I take it that skinny nerd-fingers are a huge plus on ios-games..
Getting to 2nd loop on hard shouldn't be a problem to anyone

Still wondering if endings change on a 2nd loop clear =o
Re: DDP:Blissful Death (iOS) and DDP:Maximum (Windows Phone 7)
Can someone create a guide on how to get this running on an iPad 1?
Re: DDP:Blissful Death (iOS) and DDP:Maximum (Windows Phone 7)
Trying to chain on this version is just painful, playing for survival is alright but it's driving me crazy because I KNOW how to chain this shit but just can't cope with the control scheme.

I've only played 3 times so far, but the chains are starting to come together little by little. I do feel your pain, it's not the best interface for it, but in some cases the speed of your movement can be helpful. In others it's just a total finger clusterfuck.Deca wrote:Trying to chain on this version is just painful, playing for survival is alright but it's driving me crazy because I KNOW how to chain this shit but just can't cope with the control scheme.
You need a Jailbreaking guide dude, then you need to get cydia and installous. It's not so simple, I couldn't do it on my own (or wouldn't risk it.)TonK wrote:Can someone create a guide on how to get this running on an iPad 1?

Re: DDP:Blissful Death (iOS) and DDP:Maximum (Windows Phone 7)
I don't get why it supports iPod Touch 4 and not iPad 1. The same processor and amount of memory (I thought touch 4 had 512 MB, but, apparantly, it's 256 MB, just like iPad). I know iPad lacks a gyroscope and camera, but a lack of those wouldn't hinder something like DOJ.
Re: DDP:Blissful Death (iOS) and DDP:Maximum (Windows Phone 7)
It's very simple now. But TonK doesn't have a computer that can run the installer. Otherwise it's just follow the Redsn0w tutorial that comes with the program, follow a guide on how to add an repository to Cydia, search and download Installous.Skykid wrote:I've only played 3 times so far, but the chains are starting to come together little by little. Back on topic, I've not been able to chain yet... not past 110 or so. I've been meaning to setup a dock I clay my iTouch on so I don't have to hold it in one hand.
Google Translate tells me that Unlimited Mode "is for people who like festivals."
Re: DDP:Blissful Death (iOS) and DDP:Maximum (Windows Phone 7)
My eyes don't work fast enough for a lot of these patterns.
It's like Futari Original all over again. I don't even want to attempt chaining on the ipod.

Re: DDP:Blissful Death (iOS) and DDP:Maximum (Windows Phone 7)
The chaining isn't too bad, you have to use moving towards and away from the enemies quickly as a substitute to turning fire on and off, basically picking at groups of enemies then moving away, if that makes sense.

I've reached 2nd loop without usual requirements: use more than two lives and bombs, just playd on hard and find it.

The game disallows continues doesn't it on the 2nd loop?astroid wrote:I've reached 2nd loop without usual requirements: use more than two lives and bombs, just playd on hard and find it.
Re: DDP:Blissful Death (iOS) and DDP:Maximum (Windows Phone 7)
continues on 2nd loop works as usual, I spend two ot them quickly, 2loop very tight!

Re: DDP:Blissful Death (iOS) and DDP:Maximum (Windows Phone 7)
I know previous Cave ports had an option of turning a fire on/off button on (and how you turn it on varies. I had to go to the options menu to do it for Bug Princess). Is that not the case here?Illyrian wrote:The chaining isn't too bad, you have to use moving towards and away from the enemies quickly as a substitute to turning fire on and off, basically picking at groups of enemies then moving away, if that makes sense.
Re: DDP:Blissful Death (iOS) and DDP:Maximum (Windows Phone 7)
It is, but doing things that way on an ipod etc. is quite fiddly as the buttons are quite small

Jailbreaked my iPhone 3GS JUST to play DDP Blissful Death (bought it in the App Store on my iPad 2).

So I guess the trick to making this game enjoyable is to not try and play it on arcade difficulty. Looped it on Hard...I'm not familiar with the loop but were those patterns still toned down? It just seemed they didn't have the weird gaps in them like they put in everything else on Hard mode, does the loop lock to Arcade patterns?

Hard mode is the littlest toned down most.Deca wrote:So I guess the trick to making this game enjoyable is to not try and play it on arcade difficulty. Hell mode is original arcade mode.
Re: DDP:Blissful Death (iOS) and DDP:Maximum (Windows Phone 7)
Right, I understand that. What I'm asking is if it jumps up to Hell mode when you get into the loop from Hard mode. I mean I know the loop isn't giving me the standard 1st loop arcade patterns, but is it locked on arcade difficulty for the 2nd loop patterns?JoJo wrote:Hard mode is the littlest toned down most.

Nope. 2nd loop gaps are toned down in hard mode as far as I've experienced.Deca wrote:Right, I understand that.
