I don't think so - if they include 1.5, it seems it would be a mode they would want to headline, either as part of the retail package or as a DLC mode, where Futari 1.01 and MMP Matsuri are both very much bonus modes.DrTrouserPlank wrote:I'd have thought that if they put 1.5 out there it would be via 1st print DLC code, similar to futari 1.01 and MMP matsuri.

Re: Mushihimesama HD (360)
I'll actually be surprised if this Mushi port ever comes to fruition given that Cave are abandoning development of legitimate games in favour of cheapo mobile games.
I'm sure there were several ports in the pipeline for this year that we'll never see. I suppose those that are so far into development that it isn't sensible to ditch may get released. I guess this is one such title, although given their current situation I'll only be excited once cave themselves announce it. The magazine article that started this thread could have been penned and submitted months before cave decided that mobile was the way to go.

Re: Mushihimesama HD (360)
Agreed. 1.5 will most likely be included on disc, or as a standard 1200 MSP DLC component (like all the Black Label content thus far). If anything ends up on a first print DLC card, it'd probably be Mushi Blue Label (as that only includes Original and Ultra modes).StarCreator wrote:I don't think so - if they include 1.5, it seems it would be a mode they would want to headline, either as part of the retail package or as a DLC mode, where Futari 1.01 and MMP Matsuri are both very much bonus modes.DrTrouserPlank wrote:I'd have thought that if they put 1.5 out there it would be via 1st print DLC code, similar to futari 1.01 and MMP matsuri.

Why do people think that Cave are completely abandoning arcade games all of a sudden? Seems kinda silly to me, with SDOJ coming out and all.

Re: Mushihimesama HD (360)
Yea, but that wouldn't mean NO tate. They would just have to have a wide screen mode as well... Damn that's a lot of space for a vert. Wonder how G.rev is handling that with Under Defeat HD.AntiFritz wrote:So they could release it on ps3 or something.Special World wrote:I have no idea why you would think this.Trevor spencer wrote:Hmm i hope HD dosnt mean 16.9 with no Tate mode

Not abandoning, scaling down. SOME content has been put on hold. They DID NOT disclose what. Stop speculating.CStarFlare wrote:I'll actually be surprised if this Mushi port ever comes to fruition given that Cave are abandoning development of legitimate games in favour of cheapo mobile games.
Re: Mushihimesama HD (360)
There's something people should know about that counterstop bug...
But first... There's a SMK (Super mario kart) record scene with a website containing world records for all circuits and for some of them there are rules, some jumps are forbidden because they cut too big a part of the circuit or some bugs are banned because are too rare/improbable to trigger.
So, why not admitting this counterstop bug as forbidden thus only admitting scores that are done without ?

Re: Mushihimesama HD (360)
Can you clear scores on mushi 1.5? From memory you cant on the regular version.

Re: Mushihimesama HD (360)
Nintendo's first party games were never meant to be played competitively and I really feel sorry for people who try to make it work (This includes those poor deluded Smash Bros. fans). It invariably leads to these kind of arbitrary restrictions to patch things up, but it never seems to work and there's always disagreements on what should/should not be banned.the.borg wrote:But first... It means any submitted scores must be done without dying, unless it's dying on a boss/TLB, since I guess you can't kill anything more to raise your counter up in the way the bug works ..the.borg wrote:So, why not admitting this counterstop bug as forbidden thus only admitting scores that are done without ?

If im gonna play a challenge type game ill use every little trick that the game allows me to beat it (unless it can be somehow turned off). Imposing my own limits is weaksauce imo
Re: Mushihimesama HD (360)
Exactly .. if a game needs ridiculous arbitrary restrictions in order to be competitive, it's probably not worth competing in to begin with .. :/TrevHead (TVR) wrote:If im gonna play a challenge type game ill use every little trick that the game allows me to beat it (unless it can be somehow turned off). Although the arbitrary restriction for Mushi 1.5 is not *that* bad, it's still kind of bleh. Don't die during the stages if your counter is higher than 5000000 (number pulled out of my ass)! Dying on bosses/TLB ok! >_>
Re: Mushihimesama HD (360)
Tell that to the Smash Bros. tourney scene!Udderdude wrote:Exactly .. if a game needs ridiculous arbitrary restrictions in order to be competitive, it's probably not worth competing in to begin with .. :/

Confirms Novice and Arrange. Asada's in the process of fixing up the finalized ("master") version of the disc.
I'm liking the interface, similar to RFA, better than Futari imo. Come to think of it, this should be released sooner than I had expected.

Re: Mushihimesama HD (360)
Hmm, DLC. I wonder if they'll try to sell version 1.5 as a $15 add-on.
Re: Mushihimesama HD (360)
While it would be nice if it was included. If it's sold as DLC, that's fine with me.
Re: Mushihimesama HD (360)
This is probably a stupid question but where did you get those screenies from?

The menu does look very streamlined. Liking it so far. The Downloadable Content section hopefully proves we're getting 1.5 or some mode as a DLC addon.
One query though: Who's willing to bet the game's 16:9 locked yet again?
