EIHoppe, unfortunately only one of your scores qualifies for the board, but keep at it!

Meh, I'm not worried in the slightest. I've been focusing on this as of late so I know improvements are on the way. I mostly wanted to post the 360 mode score as excitement for actually getting the 1CC.

C-power
Third_strike - *466,879,112,002 - 2-5 Ura

- Started this run knowing I needed a training in 2-3 and 2-4 (sucked in this two stages in this run like in my late runs).
- First loop was no miss no bomb and 419Bil score.
- Long way to go.

Awesome!

Looks like it's my turn again then. :D I haven't played the game lately and instead I'm trying to get something worth posting in Futari God right now. I'll look into this after that.

Thanks guys!
The score I posted had a little mistake, it's 466Bil and not 468.

Small improvement:
Image

Third_strike - *475,042,818,860 - 2-5 - Ura

Notes:
- Lose the chain in 1-4 and Finished 1st loop with around 322bil. :|
- Got hit 2 times in 1-5 boss.
- Got hit in 2-3 boss and lose any points.
- Still haven't the chance of train 2-5.

I deleted all game data in December, since then my fun is beat the last score in game score table (currently 260 Bill) I don't care about run restarts and play more than one run for day.

360 - 1.5
Throsh - 3961991462 - 2-1/omote loop - C-Strong

My first 1cc other than Deathsmiles :D I'm so happy!
A couple of questions - IS the omote loop the open loop where you have to collect 35 bees? if so then that's the one I entered. Secondly, I died on 2-1, my score says 2-1 on it but should it be put down as 1-ALL?

No, if you've reached 2-1, it's 2-1. If the game ended after the first loop, it's 1-ALL. Welcome!

OK Naut, you have to play now.

Black Label Arrange
Nereid - 983,609,653,553 - 5 Boss

Screenshot

Two miss stage 4, the rest on stage 5 (2 on the stage, 2 on Shooty because stupid decisions, if I used a hyper instead of dying it would have been over 1 trillion). Funny how the previous run made it to Hivac, with only 1 miss each on stages 4 and 5, yet the score on that was only around 700B. I don't get it. D:

20k hits on st4 by luck, dropped the chain right before the boss died(I was just testing how C-S plays in BL)

Is it really necessary to have a seperate table for every ship and shot type? Seems a bit over the top and disjointed to me. A seperate one for each mode is needed of course, but surely its enough in each mode to just have the ship type and shot stated in a different column. Its up to the player if they want to choose an easier ship to sacrifice their score, or vice versa.

Yes. Bomb, Power, and Strong styles play differently in all modes, and have drastic differences in scoring potential, even twofold depending on the mode. Since chains are influenced by canceling bullets and milking bosses, and different ships/styles have different damage output/coverage and canceling power, scoring routes are different for different ships. Ship types and styles also have different scoring potentials. It's not about easier ships, either; a good deal of the ships with lower scoring potentials are also harder to play. Have you even tried scoring in this game?

For the record, the scoring potential between A/B/C types in DDP differs by at most ≈5%. It is similar in DOJ, where the difference between A/B are minimal; dolls have somewhat different scoring potentials (which are reduced by hypers), but the vast majority of players use Exy for serious scoring anyway and don't even bother with the rest. Can't say I blame them, it's the clearly superior doll.

The only modes where I would even consider combining ship types (styles are out of the question) are either of the novice modes and 1.51, and even then only because they're largely empty

Eurgh, I just wrote and lost a reply that surely would of convinced you! I'll try again...

Its the players choice if they want to sacrifice scoring potential for whatever reason in the same mode. If they have a problem with having a low score they know what to do! As long as the ship type and shot is still shown in the table people can still say, "ah yes thats a nice score for A power", or whatever. Having a table for every mode but with a column for ship and shot type seems obvious to me.

Yes I play for score, only just learned to full chain stage 1 and 2 ura so gonna improve more before posting a score.

A thing I really like about splitting ships is that it allows each player to compete in every mode - for instance, I may try and compete with B-Strong or B-Bomb sometime, but I wouldn't bother if it meant overwriting my A-S or A-B scores.

Finally managed the DFK Ura 2-ALL with A-Strong, haha. My fourth time in the Ura loop, I think. Only 1029 oku though. I totally messed up all the stages, but EX stage was pretty awesome - 0D2B Taisabachi and 1D3B Hibachi, 1D2B of which was on the final attack.

Now, do I upload that or the good score run?

That's a lot of digits!

Made it to Hivac's 2nd phase. Man, Hivac scoring is silly. I do want to get an all clear just so I can say I did, though. And then maybe get even sillier scores.

Ultimately it's the players' choice whether to have separate boards for ships and styles. And so far it appears that most of the serious players prefer it how it is, and the rest just don't complain.

Lumping everything together removes the incentive to compete for score with like 2/3 of the ships, which seems pointless to me. I'm not too bothered by the scoreboard largely being barren, though, because it's the game's popularity and lack of easy availability that has caused it, and not the atypical ship distinction.

For the record, this is approximately how the top-20 would look like if everything was combined.

1.5:

Honestly, I like how that looks better. Clean and easy to read. As it is now, the separate listings with most ships only having a score or two listed, mixed in with the world record scores and blank listings makes for kind of an eye sore.

I vote for putting that combined listing at the top for easy reference and leaving the separate listings intact if people want that information.
