Did they say that? Online trailers usually are 30fps, no matter what the actual game is.Obiwanshinobi wrote:30 fps in sight.
To quote No One Lives Forever 2, call it a hunch. I'll be glad to be proven wrong. It's just that Japan goes all Nintedo 64, so many years down the line, and it makes me sad.Stormwatch wrote:Did they say that? Unfortunately, it looks like the Kinect/Move may be involved.
A couple of Wii games I guess. S&P2 even boasts of 60 fps on the back cover (but its framerate goes south slightly now and then). I assume fighters such as the latest Mortal Kombat and Tatsunoko vs Capcom run at 60 fps.UnscathedFlyingObject wrote:BTW, how many games out there play at a constant 60fps clip nowadays? Just out of curiosity. I can think of a couple without giving it too much thought Wipeout HD, Ratchet and Clank and Rage.
It doesn't need to have a shitty story, it already has a shitty story backing it - Metal Gear Solid.UnscathedFlyingObject wrote:What's with all the negativity? I'm excited. Knowing Platinum games, it'll be a great playing game. Probably gonna have a shitty story, tho :p. Re-vengeace? WTF!?
lol - Okami, God Hand, Viewtiful Joe, Viewitful Joe 2, Vanquish and Bayonetta all have QTEs. Good luck! Please, please, please keep QTEs out of this, Platinum.
Vanquish was 30 fps, and I want to say MadWorld was 30 fps as well, but I tried to erase that game from my memory so I may be wrong. Bayonetta was 60 though (for the most part).Estebang wrote:I at least have faith that this will run at 60 frames per second--all of Platinum's console games to date have (pretty sure).
Even Ratchet and Clank went to 30FPS in All 4 One, and Insomniac says all their future games will be 30FPS too. Of the major 3D intensive games I have played recently, only Forza 4 and GT5 immediately come to mind as being in 60FPS.UnscathedFlyingObject wrote:Constant 60fps with no drops should be the standard for all games, but alas, it's hard to have that and have great graphics, AI and all the other CPU intensive stuff at the same time. I'm usually fine with 30fps as long as there is no slowdown or frame drops.

?Estebang wrote:Same goes for Okami, though it wouldn't matter anyway because the fighting isn't meant to be challenging, and it's a shitty game anyway.
I was actually going to call this thread Bayonetta 2iconoclast wrote:(He's probably too busy with Bayonetta 2)
Ah, I see. Must be Mikami, no?Ex-Cyber wrote:Inaba's a producer; the speculation/secrecy is surrounding the director role.
Why is it called the Vic Viper/Warp Rattler? Because the Options trail behind it in a serpent-like fashion, and the iconic front fins are designed to invoke the image of a snake's fangs.

Nah, it was never intended to be written by Kojima. Looks like someone in platinum is writing it since they ditched the story konami worked on before. But yeah, as long as the game plays well I don't care.Skykid wrote:So it's an MGS game where Raiden is the protagonist, it's written by Kojima and it's co-developed by Platinum?
