What good games came out this year?

Worth mentioning that The Witcher 2 isn't exactly the American take on cRPG. Euro-continental cRPGs (Gothic being my favourite) come in flavours different to North American ones. Glitches are your daily bread in just about every cRPG worth its salt (Gothic being particulary bad in this department).

I liked this one a lot. Cool graphics, great soundtrack and overall fun gameplay, not too hard but not too easy either. A very good starter bullet hell game.

I haven't playing anything recent lately, but there are a few that look interesting. Portal 2 came out this year and I heard it turned out very well (I just beat the first one recently and loved it). Skyrim, Gears of War 3, Batman Arkham City, Little Big Planet 2, Kirby Mass Attack, Kirby's Return to Dream Land, Skyward Sword, Super Mario 3D Land, Shinobi 3DS, and Solatorobo are all games that look interesting to me.

This went under the radar. This one looks interesting too.

Solatorobo is awesome, probably my GOTY Aliens infestation was alright as well.. nothing spectacular though

I really liked Super Mario 3D Land. It's real easy, but it's still very fun. Same goes for Zelda. Dark Souls is fo sho my GOTY.

Pink Sweets on the 360 is probably my most played game this year. But to me, that doesn't really count as "came out this year" since it's actually from 2006.

So Eschatos and Dark Souls for me.

Sonic Generations was awesome if you ignored the shitty final boss and not-so-stellar regular bosses. First game I've ever beaten on release day and the first Sonic game I bought at release since Sonic Adventure 2 ten years ago. It was a really good way to revisit the franchise.

Rayman is pretty cool.

Duke might be my game of the year nominee purely based on the fact that it made so many people butthurt.
