240p from 360 on PVM-2950Q
Is it possible without an (relatively expensive) downscaler? Or are there cheap downscalers? Or is 480i adequate or what. I'm clueless.

You can do this by using an Extron RGB interface with sync processing. They're $20 on eBay. Here's the thread on it: http://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.ph ... 6&start=60

Would a regular Extron Super Emotia work? I see some decently priced on eBay

Sure. Emotia does a 480p to 240p conversion (VGA to RGBs), while the Extron interfaces do 480i RGBs to 240p RGBs.

I think I'll go with the Emotia since I'll be able to do MAME through it as well (I have a spare VGA port)
Thanks
Are there any specific RGB cables I should use for the Emotia->PVM or just grab any off of Monoprice?
Thanks

your 2950Q has direct RGBS BNC inputs (4x BNC), right ? If so, just use the cheapest BNC to BNC cables you can find.

I just noticed that these Emotias on ebay don't have the power cable and such.

I'm working on writing instructions on how to build a power supply. 35 dollars for a 3rd party replacement is retarded.cstle wrote:I just noticed that these Emotias on ebay don't have the power cable and such.

what i did was search eBay for "5-pin DIN power supply," just make to find one with specifications as close to the official extron PSU as possible.
